    update:

in the last 4 weeks i've driven 4 days....the rest have either been working 12 hrs on the dock or working 3-5 hrs then being sent home because we ran out of freight to move. Then today i got at text from my boss at 615am saying no work today....WTF!

The other day they fired that driver that got his panties all in a bunch over his truck that day....for no reason, now they're moveing yet another run to nights....so more loss of jobs on first shift. i think they are trying to starve me into 2nd shift which aint gonnna happen.

Thats LTL for you... Although our bid guys will still get paid if theres no work to go around as the bids are guaranteed work or pay however it works, the extra guys like myself wont get paid though...

Reliable Tank Lines (fuel hauling) called me back and told me to fill out and app online. It even says on their website that they are hireing here in charlotte....but when you click apply for driver jobs it just says we are no longer accepting apps for this position....even though they are hireing in like 7 citys....WTF? i need to call them back

That is the same problem I had 18 months ago when I worked for (Company that bleeds blue). I fell into a great job where I did not have to work the docks to get hours. I am now driving average of 500 miles a night. I myself would rather drive than work the docks...

sounds like a con-way move...we wont fire you, just starve you out...the dirty underside to the LTL game. gotta love it
