Welcome to LTL. Maybe in a few years the senior driver will let you hook his sets. four more weeks you will be on layoff.

Aren't night runs where its at for Line haul thats how it is for us. Day shift is P+D.

i got a load yesterday doing my old nashville run. So i get to the Pilot in Dandridge, TN and i'm sitting there waiting for the other driver to show up and then a Brand New Black Volvo with "NASCAR EXPERIENCE" on the side pulls into the truck stop and parks right in front of me.....then my dad jumps out the truck and starts walking into the pilot, so i called him since i saw he still had his Blue Tooth thing on (jaw bone not a headset) when he answerd i was like "sooo your just gonna walk right past me?" and he stops dead in his tracks and starts looking around....he didnt even notice the GIANT POS day cab with TWO trailers....lol. Anyway so we got to have lunch while i was waiting he had stopped for the Subway. He's bobtailing from Concord, NC all the way to Fontana, CA to get back under his Carhauler. So he's got a nice ride, 75mph truck Bobtail...so no lugging up hills or hunting for a parking spot lol.

Then today i got yet another text saying no work....booo! So i went and got my flu shot ive been putting off for 2 months.

    This week:

    Monday: 11.5hrs on the dock $17.00 x 11.5
    Tuesday: 5hrs on the dock $17.00 x 5
    Wednesday: No work :(
    Thursday: Nashville run and 2 hours on the dock $134.00 + $17.00 x 2
    Friday: No work :(
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
$448.50 GROSS :/ Would you like Fry's with that?

Well at least you got to have lunch with your Dad!

Hopefully things pick up soon and yes with the holidays coming I would think freight would be picking up!
They have been advertising Xmas stuff on TV (Like Target and Walmart) for a week or so......(not even Halloween yet.....)

    American Trucker,
How do you like Central Transport? I have heard mixed things about them but never anything from one of their drivers. Are they any good?
