i just finished my training at c1 in fort Wayne, i stayed at the hallmark hotel, which, at one time, was probably a grand place. it had a giant swimming pool (no water), at one time it had a lounge and a restaurant (now just filled with junk) one row off rooms just had plywood as siding, and i heard a lot of stories about robbery's and shootings in the past. but hey, it had beds, microwave and mini fridge, so i cant complain to much.
first week: Tuesday (Monday was labor day, so no school), piss test in the morning, then a load of paper work. noon until 8ish was class room time
WED. morning we went to the bmv to start taking test, and here is a tip for people who are about to go to this school, study study study before you come to the school, i studied my brains out for two weeks before i came to school, and passed all my test on the first day, the people who did not study, had to retake test until Saturday because they kept failing them. and do not assume that the school is going to teach you good enough to pass the test. with us they quickly went over the info on a power point for each subject and then gave us a practice test, that was all the teaching we got.
for the rest of the week we went over stuff like log book, trip planning and stuff like that, and did tests on them.
so all in all, i didn't really get much from the classroom time, luckily i studied hard before i went there.
    2nd week
we started range practice, and if you get John Knight as your instructed, pay attention, the man knows what he's talking about, if you do everything exactly how he shows you, you cant fail.
i didn't get much time on the road, i was only out on the road 3 times the 2nd week (passed my driving test the 2nd time out) but that was not nearly enough to get me ready for the state test.
    3RD WEEK
Monday i took my state test and failed on the road test, which i expected because i didn't have enough experience, then i got to go on the road again that day with the school instructor.
TUESDAY they set up my state test again, but at 6:30 am, so i was doing the range maneuvers in the dark, that was super stressful because i couldn't see the cones i was supposed to use as a reference point, or any other reference points for that matter. but i passed the range test, and barely scraped by on my road test.
i was the second person in our class to pass the state test, by the time i left there were only 3 of us who passed the state test. most of the other people from our class still hadnt passed all the school side test, but thats because they weren't paying good attention to their trainers.
anyways, im done now and just waiting for my trainer to come pick me up.

so all in all, the schools not to bad, but you need to study on your own along with the class time, dont just expect that the school will teach you everything
