Hey guys A&R is pretty much a typical company. I spent 2.5 years there and I did good the first 1.5 years hell i was home every weekend and still managed to do 69k for the year. I ran out of Joliet. I ended up leaving when the Old man let investors come in and buy 51% of the company. That is when everything went to hell. They hired a bunch of new people in the office Jason Eberle and Ken Pate both of these guys are freaking idiots and they stand face to face with you and lie their butts off. They started a bunch of new rules, which is ok but the one that pushed me over the edge is if you take vacation more than 2 days you have to clean your truck out and hitch a ride with another driver or find your own ride back home. Then when you come off vacation you hitch a ride with another driver back down to joliet and if someone else is using your truck as a spare they put you in whatever truck is available. As far as the money its all good. But I have a couple of friends that still work there and they usually stay out 2-3 weeks at a time and the one made 55k this year and the other made 61k! I will never go back to A&R. I live up in michigan under protest went to work for BWP hauling the same stuff and have been here 4 years. I have been on a dedicated Midland to Channahon run for 2 years and making more money than I ever have. But now A&R has been bought out they think they need to flex their muscles and take all the work from everyone so now Im out of a great money making run and looks like possibly a job. I need to send a letter to A&R saying thanks for putting me out of a job. But I guess that is just big business. Never know maybe I will be filling out a application and going back with A&R! On second thought nope I wont unless its the last job available. Its time for a job I can be home more. Good luck to all the A&R drivers I hope everything works out its not that bad it just all depends on what you can put up with.:biggrin_2556:

What do you guys know about the Philly terminal, good or bad ? Do any of you know where those loads go for the most part ?

Average length of haul, longer stuff or just short hops around the northeast ?

I was told that Philly would be where I would be based out of *if* I hire on (first they have to offer the job of course).
