So after reading a lot of threads of drivers giving their experiences with different companies, I have decided to begin my own. I will be updating this thread as often as possible. I know their was a thread on BTC before, but I wanted to do something too since it was so long ago.
Here's the rundown:
I applied with BTC due to the fact that I want to flatbed, and I didn't want to go to TMC. I considered Maverick but I do not meet their age requirement. I'm 21. I am fresh out of CDL school (12/22/11).
My recruiter's name is Treyce Card. He is a good guy, and he did his best to answer every question that I have had along the way. We hit a speed bump with my MVR, but he stayed on the safety department to get me taken care of. Soon after, he sent me my orientation information along with my bus ticket confirmation number.
I am leaving my home in Hickory, NC for Memphis, TN tomorrow @ 2:30 PM, and I am scheduled to arrive in Memphis @ 2:00 AM. I will call Arrow Cab, who will then take me to my room at the local Fairfield Inn. I have to be in the lobby of the hotel at like 6:00-6:30 AM Monday morning.@
That's all I have for now. I will be updating this thread daily while in orientation and with my trainer whenever possible. If anyone has any questions, feel free to post them here and I will do my best to get them answered.
Thanks for reading, and have a Happy New Year.

Welcome to flatbedding -

Congrats on your trucking career . -
Congrats on the new CDL. My advice? Pick your trainers brain, especially when it comes to safely securing and tarping your loads. (No such thing as a stupid question my friend.) Take your time and double check when your finished. Get that right, then it's one less thing you'll be fretting about when you get behind the wheel, since that is still relatively new to you also ( I went through his about 3 1/2 years ago....LOL)
Good luck and welcome to the jungle!sevenmph Thanks this. -
good luck driver.
