Good luck man! I hope you enjoy CRST... I don't know if I could do the whole team driving, but hopefully you can do great at it and make a descent living. Are you going to post in the CRST room?

Yes, I am going to start making a log of events on the CRST forum tonight. My training begins this Monday in Cedar Point, Iowa. It's good to hear that the trucks are 3 years and older.....think I heard 5 but close enough. Team driving is just the beginning....there is still the option for the lease program but I have heard enough to stay away from all that. The recruiter stated they have an excellent lease program but did not go into detail and DID NOT recommend for the first year. Anyways, thanks for following along so far, will see you guys in the CRST forum. Over and Out!!!

Okay.....now I am willing to put my flame suit on!! Since yesterday I decided to change my mind and go to CRST from CR England. I'm going to go ahead and stick with CR England despite the negative information that I have seen so far on this forum. Greg, the trainer at England, called me last night to make sure I have everything that I will need to bring with me.....so I feel a little more comfortable than I did 2 days ago. Anyways, will keep everyone posted!!!

Have either of you looked into going with Con-Way? They have training at Crowder College and I believe if you talk to a recruiter, they will pay for school and then you owe them X amount of time just like England. Con-Way is by far a better company to go with. Just a little info for you to think about...

    AF461,

Thanks for the info. I did look up 45 companies all together and Con-Way was one of them. Since my Fiance's Cousin worked for CR England and gave an excellent reference, I decided to go with England. He started his career out at England and worked himself up to a trainer and he stated that he did not make less than $3000 per week as a lease/owner. Obviously there are the expenses to be paid from that but he said as long as he didn't get distracted with anything, he always made money. Well, he ended up meeting a girl and moved out here to Ohio and got married. He now works for Dick-Lavy and hauls locally and is home every night. Not sure what he makes financially, I didn't ask. I do know that he has a great house and a great family life, which is re-assuring to me.
