Hey, buddy, worked for Werner from 09/10 to 02/11 out of Phx, What an absolute mess this company is, sending me to yards to pick up trailers that were not there, wrong directions, taking 3 days or more to repair the tractor, trailers in the yard not tagged and yet out of service, the long waits at the gate check in on Magnolia that finally came to the attention of the Phoenix PD who told them to stop blocking up the street, Stay way away from Werner and you will never know the misery and nonsense of Wener Semper fi bro PhxDzrt Marine

Awesome videos and a very helpfull thread overall! I live in Maine and just got my class A (had my class B for 9 years) and will be going to Indianapolis for training/orientation with Squire in a couple of weeks. After about 90 days I will be will be able to go to Knight Trans. I know there are going to be distinct differences between the refrigerated and dry van but I'm pretty stoked.
American-Trucker Thanks this. -
but for most company drivers you're gonna get a hand me down, and the driver before you will determine if your truck is going to run 65mph when you get it.. ever truck i've been in (only been two) have been backed down to 61 on cruise and 63 on pedal..
everytime i get to a shop and tell them what's going on they say they have to get approval from my DM, i call him and tell him what's going on and he approves it, but then the shop tells me it's going to take (forever and a day) and i'm usually under load, can't wait so i just haul...
good news is that i dont have to worry about it getting cut back any further, so i just idle my cheeks off.. well not always.. not a big fan of idling.. and the bunk heater is a Wabesco or something spelled like that, basically a small butain heater that uses diesel from your tanks to keep a pilot lite lit. and a small electric fan to blow it all out from underneath your bunk. it runs fine with the truck off and will melt plastic bottles (ask me how i know).
not tryin to hi jack Smaggs thread, just helping him out where he falls short.. i dont have a problem with this company, but i'll help Smaggs out as much as i can with putting out information about it.
and so much about warner, i tried to go with them, was with a trainer for a week, realized i wasn't gonna make it.. their qual comm tells on you for every little thing.. hitting brakes too hard, turning too hard, it's like having safety riding shot gun all day next to you. -
Right on, mitchazz. Hijack away. Good info. My truck goes 65 cruise and hammer down... Got lucky. Took the mileAge from 6.4 to 6.9 in four days. Doing good out here.
