If you are on a public forum such as TTR and you are posting your opinions then YES I am entitled to post my opinions whether smaggs asked or not. IF he didn't want to hear other's opinions, then he shouldn't have started the thread. The whole point of TTR is to share experiences and to inform others.
There are ALOT of threads on Knight specifically listed under "Knight'' and there are way more bad experiences than positive.
Again I am glad smaggs is doing well and having a positive experience and most people are glad to have a job and just get those wheels turning. I hope Smaggs continues to have good experiences!! Those with experience with this company are just trying to let someone like Smaggs know what to look out for for his own sake.

I worked for Knight regional 10 years ago, though it wasn't as bad as truckerdave1970's post, the pay was quite meager from what I can remember. Running regional miles probably didn't help either. Good luck to ya Smaggs, every experience is subjective...

i'm there now.. well actually i'm sittin someone off of I80 in Pa. For repairs, i just dont like dealing with the shop.. took me three hours to get a light bulb, a spare tire, and a tire replaced on the trailer.. and what's funny about it is that i replaced the bulb and put the spare on the back on my cab by myself. but everyone says the Atlanta terminal is like that. i get my miles and the only hiccup i've had so far was getting dispatched on a load. when my DM sent me the info i told him it'll be a close delivery, and he asked how close i told him four hours late kind of close.. he said no problem (all of this via qual comm) so i accepted the load.. i get to the shipper and on the BOL it says an 11am deliver the next morning. the qual comm said a 1030 delivery. i called night dispatched to see what was really going on and that guy didn't make anything better, kinda had me on edge to be honest. i told him i was told via qual comm that it being late was ok and all he replied with was fine (this convo was over the phone). i get to the receiver and it's a 24hr lot.. guard said he didn't care if it got there next monday cause they dont track the loads by trailer number, only by quantity, so as long as there were enough knight trailers on the yard it wouldn't have been missed until monday because supposedly they do a count every odd day of the week. to be honest all of my issues arise from my substitute DM. my DM that's getting surgery and is going to be gone for 6 weeks does one heck of a job.

Well I hope you get your DM back and quick! Dispatch was cool to my first trainer. I'll keep this thread updated when I can. I'm heading out tomorrow morning for a few weeks...

few weeks? wow!!! i do three out three days at the house.. works out well with the wife.

When I served my sentence at Knight, I was out 55-60 DAYS. I only got home every other month for 2-3 days. It totally sucked!
