Yo smaggs! not to get off subject, but understand that you live in Phoenix, been thinking about relocating out to there. Not sure what part of that vast erea to start looking, to rent a house thats does'nt have a crackhead on every corner. Thought about jumpin on with Knight or Roehl atleast untill i get moved in out there, then find another company to work for.

Yeah its hard for a newbee to get going at a company like the knights and Roehls of the world, but if you think about it, if your sitting in the dispatch chair, and you've got 20 loads to dish out and 30 drivers sitting out in the yard, all with the same problems, Bills, Rent, House payments, and things like that, the drivers thats been there a lot longer than you will get going much sooner than you will.

I live in SW/PA and i work for a very small company out of Eighty Four, PA with the same problem that every other company out there has this time of year, slow freight. I sit here on this website and i go threw all the posts that drivers put on here, about how the company that they signed on with, they suck, dont come to work for this company, that company, it never ends.

We've all got it tough out here right now, big or small, so don't let it start you thinking that the trucking industry is crappy industry to bee in, because its put food on my table for 20+ yrs now, and its all i know how to do now.

I bet the more time you spend on this trucking site, the more depprested you become in time about the trucking industry as a hole, this site is nothing but a ##### fest for all the green horns out ther, that want to start out at the top as soon as they get started. :biggrin_25526: Peace out

I've been to Eighty-Four. I'm from Erie, PA... but living in PHX for five years.

If you're trying to avoid crackheads, you need to move into an area that costs at least 1200 bucks a month in rent/mortgage. I had good luck in Estrella Mountain Ranch in Goodyear, but I hate HOAs. Beats living next to a meth lab... which I've lived in a few places where my neighbors cook and deal random crap.

Phoenix is kind of a huge hot spot for dope heads. You really can't avoid them out here.

I'm probably moving to Erie, PA... Buffalo,NY or Massolin, OH in the spring. Phoenix is nice in the winter, but too many tweakers and too much heat in the summer.

Besides... I can actually play music up there. I used to make a killing playing classic rock and oldies at VFWs and other similar establishments in the tri-state area!

Nice... I did a trip where I scaled for 9.50 and had three hours detention. Neither show up on my pay for that trip on the payroll site. Yet payroll says they reimbursed me for the scale. On top of that, they say I didn't send a detention macro. I KNOW I did. I sent it just before 11am because my appt was at 9am and I was there at 8am and wasn't released until after 2pm.

They didn't pay me because "I didn't send a macro"... these people will do anything to avoid paying me. They sure as hell don't forget to take money from me for my insurance, though.

For some reason NO reimbursements have been showing up, but it's their word against mine.

Not really. If you sent them a message via QC, there is a record of it. If you don't have it on your QC anymore, you can call Qualcomm and ask them to send it to you.
