that place is pretty good for $20/day. The truck stop next to the hotel has a Quiznos :biggrin_25525:. OH and ask bill about the Chinese place its SOOOO good, you'll pass it on your way to/from the terminal everyday.

Load sucurement week is almost done. So far I've tied down and taken apart 10 loads, everything from 2 joints of pipe to over size, I'm ready to get it done, It's been tuff but worth it I can leave here with confidence to get the job done. I' ve only been at LST a couple weeks but from what I' ve seen this is a top notch place to work

Hey XB.. great to see your training is going well. Sorry I bailed on ya.. but, you know... gotta make the real bucks! :biggrin_25522:

When I see ya next, XB, if ya got a laptop with iTunes on it and haven't upgraded your iPhone to 5.1 *and your interested* I can jailbreak it for ya so you can tether and have internet on your laptop (an extension of your plan.. costs nothing more). Rather easy to do and only takes 20 minutes. Thats how i'm posting now actually. But, that option would let you continue your blogging. I have a separate blog I keep at a pretty popular place. PM me if anyone wants the addy.. I think it's against site rules to post it publicly.

Since we hired on i've hauled 4 loads.. this 5th I'll have sat 3 days near San Antonio before pickup, but I confirmed I get layover so all isn't wasted. Its been hot so i've had to idle thus far almost nonstop.. but I don't have the green for a hotel. But, if you do the math I'd spend as much in a hotel as i'd get in a fuel bonus.. so it's really a wash for those 3 days.

Does that orientation pay come in our first check? Same with the first part of the sign-on bonus? I think I remember them saying we get 1/3 after the first load but I don't remember. I didn't think about all this until this past wednesday (ironically the 25th). I can say I'm not fond of the 10th/25th pay period thing but, c'est la vie.

I too really like this company. Our DM is a great guy XB. Very communicative.. and sharp to boot.

you'll get your Orientation pay and the first half $750 of your sign on bonus with your first check.

Who did you get for a Dispatcher? if you got bob get ready to run your butt off, he's awesome.
