You'd have to wait for him to answer but I believe it was because they offered decent $$ and he's home everyday.

 

Hey AZS, how often do you get home living in AZ? i've had a recent change of marital status and once my lease is up am considering moving back to Phoenix... lived there a few years ago and loved it. Great thing about Fort Worth is that I get home pretty regularly and can put in for hometime after 3 weeks... moved from Colorado to FW because they wanted me to be out 2 months with only 4 or 5 days off. No thanks.

thats funny! I'm thinking about moving to Texas at some point! Every 4 or 5 weeks like clockwork though. The recruiter I had told me 6-8 weeks before I would get hometime but its only come close to 6 weeks one time.

I miss the days I was with Con-way Truckload. 7/1 and could bank days. I took 9 days off once and didn't lose my truck. And, I could take hometime anywhere I wanted as long as I had a safe place to park the truck. Ahh.. the good ol days.. but the pay is better here by far!

 

that is pretty nice. I'm taking this next hometime in Portland, OR and even though my dispatcher thought it would be tough it turns out it wasn't and the next load was headed there. As for Phoenix, I've gotten loads from Georgia, Kansas, Illinois, etc. all going to Phoenix. Most of it cat stuff.
