good reason. I like Texas just because if things dont work out with LST there is always oil field work as well as almost every other truck company hires out of there. The SE part of Phoenix is where my parents live (Gilbert) and that area is pretty nice. Chandler too.

That reason is why I actually moved to FW too... if something happens here and I have to move on. it seems everyone has a terminal or drop yard in the metroplex... Colorado and Arizona are holes for finding a good company that will hire out of there. Its a tough call.
I never spent much time in Gilbert/Chandler... I know its older and i'm a snob (not as bad as those in N. phoenix tho). I like Avondale/Goodyear because they are newly built up areas. I have a thing where I wont live in a house/apartment if its older than 2000... so the west side fit my snobbish taste well. Tough call there too. -
Anyway, it appears my apu has fully bit the dust with less than 500 hours on it. Blowing black smoke and smells like something is melting when it runs, therefore I am not running it! luckily I'm in a cool place for once (Cheyenne, WY) and dont have to idle either.Wedge Thanks this. -

It never fails that when i get anywhere from 1000 to 1500 miles out, I always get a load to Dallas. got to cali.. returned to Dallas. Got to PA? returned to Dallas. Never fails. I got off the Laredo/NC loop thankfully. I just finished towing aluminum to Pharr and got a 2 piece 2 stop load headed to IL... so i'm home for a 34 again this weekend. I don't know how I score it but I always do. We'll see if they can get me to Detroit in 2 weeks tho for 3 off.. grandmother don't have much time and the fam is having a final family reunion for her.. bob said he'd try to get me there the best he can. Given how much we pull to IL I have faith.

Well, I've got my first full week down, so far so good here. After we finished up in Houston last Friday, they sent me in my rental car to AL to recover a truck and swap equipment with the guy who was picking up the oversize load it was under. Bobtailed back to Gainesville, got there Mon. AM and had to wait till Tuesday for my truck. I ended up with 900153. It's old, but it runs well, anyway and is in decent shape. Loaded out of Rotan to deliver Wed. AM in San Antonio. Headed down to Laredo Wed. afternoon, and ended up not getting out of there until Thurs. morning because some outside carrier decided to secure his oversize dump body in front of my trailer, then leave his truck and take off with the pilot car drivers. Then ,I had to find someone who would show me how to properly tarp part of my load. Delivered in E. Peoria today, taking a 34 in Morton to pick up in Creve Couer headed to Irving, TX Monday. If I could have made it up here and unloaded yesterday, I would have been in Irving on Mon. AM, but I'm almost out of hours anyway. So far, I'm pleased though. Seems like if you want to work, they will definitely make you do it.

Forgot what a pain it is to try and find a place to park near Seattle. Had to go 30 miles past the port just to find a place. I deliver that in the AM drive down to my Grandpas for a few days near Portland. Reload for Alabama though on one of the days off, that's the price you pay for good loads I suppose. In other news the APU started working again..
