I would like to come to work at LST to get in the heavy haul business. Right now, I can't afford the pay cut to get the experience to get in the business.
I saw an LST o/o this morning with a heavy piece of machinery and about 10 axles on the ground, on the state line east of Clovis, NM. -
I finally got home on Tuesday night. Had to make a Wed delivery in Lewisville, TX (northwest of Dallas) out of Rotan but I got to sleep in my own bed. Finally got home Wed by 1000am and am off until Tuesday. Been a great weekend so far... forgot to call on Friday, remembering 2 hours after my DM left so I'll know Tuesday morning where I head next. Plan to be out 8 weeks this cycle so I can make some money... usual turn around has been about 4 weeks... but I'm gettin' that greedy itch!
AT, your looking for a new job? I'm hoping the 34hr thing is sorted out before that start date next year, otherwise I think longhaul is going to go to the wayside for me and alot of other drivers unless pay is kicked up heavily. Thank god I moved to texas... a TON of oilfield stuff here.. not that I want to work like i'm 18 again tho.
