I made 0 just before Christmas. I was just figuring I couldn't do any RGN loads. Guess I'm wrong. Regardless, I wouldn't want one right now. I'm still too green! Haha!
I'm on my second load since I've been with LS that doesn't originate and terminate in Texas. Heading to Clayton, NC. They sure do love keeping me in Texas. I'm going to have to get an address here soon.

Talking to him from what I hear he has more than his share of the... uh.. complainers? Those that can't be self sufficent? And, most importantly, those that are much higher levels than you or me that come with their own issues in regards to needing more attention. So, in a sense I can see why he does it that way. Not necessarily useless, just... different.
On one hand I don't mind taking the bull by the horns and just getting the info or whatever done myself... totally eliminating the middle man, i.e. the DM. On the other hand, alot of people prefer not to talk to the driver, and thats when I need that step in, which hes pretty good at.
Just, that darn phone communication multiple times a day gets me... have I mentioned that yet?I told my lady I wouldn't even talk to her if I didn't have to.. and, still, we don't talk physically on the phone but 2 or 3 times a week.. if that!

I'm willing to admit I absolutely suck at tarping. Picked up some radiators on pallets to bring to Atlas Copco and they had to be tarped. Took me close to 2 hours to get something that resembles a tarp job. I've put about 10 tarp straps through every hole on the back of the tarp to keep it from flapping in the wind. Darn thing still flaps and the corner is riding up. I laughed at my horrible try and gave up!

I drove for them for 8 months, and didn't get even decent at tarping till bout 7 months in. Lol. You should have seen some of my loads.

Its an acquired skill.. you'll get it. I can do decent, but it still looks like a 5 year old tried to wrap a present. I've hauled that radiator load though.. those things just suck to tarp.
I finally got my tower delivered yesterday... 9 days on that load! took 5 to load it... lol. Needless to say I accounted for all my time.. but we'll see what they pay for. Its all on Atlas tho, so who knows. Finally crossed into MI through Sault Ste. Marie last night headed to just outside detroit to pick up a load headed to Laredo... 17 miles from the pickup today I got a call that it was cancelled. So, here I sit. If i'm here long enough though my moms gonna come meet me for dinner. I grew up in the Detroit area.. so it has its perks.
Truck needs back in the shop for electrical work though... my dash blower went out, my cruise kicks itself off occasionally, and once in a while wont even come back on, and I lost power to my 12v sockets. Peterbilt in FW was messing in the fuse panel to troubleshoot why it just cut out on me...so it makes me wonder if he did something. I also have a nasty squealing sound behind the dash, almost like 2 metal parts rubbing together... so i'm wondering if some wires haven't been chaffed too. Thankfully the bunk heater runs while the truck is operating though or I would have froze in Canada.. it got frosty in some parts! -
broke down myself. Motel room and all. White smoke started coming up from under the hood and had to get towed. Thinking clutch or EGR even. Regardless this will be several days down.

looks like this thread is about one foot in the grave. lol. Anyway, got my truck back with several things having to repaired, EGR, exhaust leak, ABS sensor and that was just the stuff I didn't know about! when I broke down I had to get the load repowered and I didn't get to see what was left for me until today...the glad hands were so worn out that I couldn't even keep the red line connected, it actually fell off as I was making a turn forcing me to stop in traffic and vice grip it in place. Then I notice the tire completely separated from the wheel on the back axle. Some driver actually left that for me to deal with lol. Guessing he didn't even know about it, meaning he didn't bother to look at the tires, ever. Anyway, I got all that fixed today and looking like freight is pretty slow in Texas.

Drivers like that should be kicked. Hard.

yeah I don't get it man. At least he put away all the chains and binders on my truck when he swapped gear. At least.
