the one time I was there the guy dropped the rods off the forks and actually put a divot in the f'in cement. Prick probably called in a claim on it. Bell I mean.

and lastly $725 fuel bonus check I got today.
jomar68 Thanks this. -
That fuel bonus must be nice! I've been nice and heavy recently.. having hauled 3 104,000k+ loads... and the fact i'm in a 379. And, my bunk heater has a mind of its own. It was on the other night but I woke up to a frozen cab at 18 degrees. DOH! AT was right.. i'll never see a fuel bonus. lol.
HEB in Laredo.. i'll keep that in mind. I haven't seen Laredo since we rolled out of there on those oversize loads. But, now that i've said something... i'm jinxed.
Countrymouse... the feds say that companies have to set the rules as the fed minimum but can make them more strict.. which is why some companies are going to that rule while others are doing initial sleep apnea, tougher drug testings, etc.... I guess we're always hiring so c'mon over. We don't bite.... hard. -
think it's finally scaled as far as 379's vs 379's, T660's vs T660's etc. thats what I heard, that's the way it should be if you ask me.

Yeah, these people love to kiss the government's backside these days. It didn't use to be that way, but a new bred of middle management always messes things up.
The only thing that I haven't done a lot of is flatbed. I've pulled a few flats to maybe amount to 3000 miles total. I maybe over there in the not too distant future. I'm in a holding pattern for now to see what comes down the pipe next. -
oh and you got to be in the top 20%
-
Oh that shouldn't be too hard then. I don't idle when I don't have to.. I prefer not idling. From what i've seen from some of the 579'ers they idle all the time.. so it should be cake. I just rolled over to 680 though.. so I suspect a new truck could be coming from the word i've heard on the Gville yard.

All this talk of BBQ and no pictures to show what's being discussed. Typical truckers! All talk, no proof.
I made sure to request home time Wednesday for February 8th. Mardi Gras' coming up and I can't miss it. Figure 2 weeks is plenty of notice. Now just keeping my fingers crossed.
Still in the Houston yard with about 5 other company drivers. We've all been here since Friday afternoon. So, nothing to report on. -
I did fail on the pictures, I ate it and thought to myself, I should have took pictures of that! Next time, there will be a next time. you getting a new truck mystikal?? new to you or they buy more?

I haven't heard.. just taking polls from drivers i've seen upgrading recently as I pass through.. seems their all upgrading about what my milege is now so I suspect I could be coming due. But, i'm not holding my breath. I actually like this 'ol 379... shes a good truck with only a few minor glitches here and there that have come up.
Out of curiousity, does anyone know if the company sends anything tax or log related certified mail to the house this time of year? The lady went by my house when she was in town and said I had a sticky from a week ago on my door for a certified letter. I've received one notice from Safety via certified right around Christmas that I expected... but I wasn't expecting anything else. I'll know tomorrow since i'll be out of my 70 when I get to FW... I was just curious is all.
