Apparently I have pumpkin in the blood (lol.. even though that co. isn't on my resume thank you) because I just got this.. LOL. Little slow today apparently.
The potholes are still there. They were iced over though out in the back 9. I remember when that used to be a crappy nasty on the inside Esso or something a few years ago but they did a nice job in remodeling it into a J.
Didn't try the Pizza... I generally try not to spend money up there since 1) its inherently expensive given the exchange rate and 2) my bank charges me international fees. But, next time I will give it a shot. Is it in the Humpty's restaurant there or is there a separate pizza joint there... or are you referring to the J pizza? I don't recall now if there was one there... just recall the J, Humpty's, and a liquor store. But, I can dig me some pizza.. thats the one food I can't get enough of.. and am known to walk up to 2 miles one way for raved on pizza!

Well from what i've read their miles are really down.. and apparently their hurting for people because of it... got a text yesterday from my ex wife telling me recruiting is doing cold calls to former drivers and they recommeded we return. She said we're divorced, first of all, so ti wouldn't be a team situation if we did... and, second, we're each making double what we made at Con-way... so... no thanks. The response was "uh.. well... ok. Keep us in mind then for the future." You bet bub. lol.

think I got a call from swift similar to that after I came to LST. Call didn't last long after they found out they would need to pay me $.10/mi more than I was making just to MATCH lonestar much less go over. Won't even mention the miles.

Gotta love mega carriers.
So they deadheaded me from Fort Saskatchewan AB to Aurora UT to pick up benzonite. 1196 miles deadhead. I think i've been deadheading more than i've been running loaded recently. But, I hate going to that plant. Its all a dirt lot there and they've recently had a snowfall so it was a muddy load area. I can't count the amount of times my boot got stuck today! I'll be cleaning this crap out of the driver area for a week! I had enough sense to kick what I could off my boots, change my shoes, wipe down the best I could, and store my boots in one of my storage boxes until this weekend.
Anyways, i'm due in Midland Friday but I'll run out of hours tomorrow.. so my DM rescheduled for Monday. I got 11 hour in today, shutting down at the Ute casino outside of Cortez, CO.. and tomorrow i'll get 4.5 hours in before I run out of my 70.. essentially dropping me out at the T/A in Moriarty to take 2 days down before shoving off to Midland for my delivery Monday morning.
On a side note, The Walking Dead comes back on Sunday for anyone that cares.REDBEAN Thanks this. -
you already out of hours? man you must have drove your face off going to Canada because you reset before leaving on that yeah? I'm in Blackwell, AR, couple hundred miles from delivering this lumber to a job site in the am. No preplan yet, been trying to get home, going on seven weeks out this time.
