I asked one of the admins via private message if we could get one, he said he would talk to the owner. That was several days ago. That's a good attitude to have, they'll notice even if they don't directly tell you but the proof will be in the loads you get. At this point they're just letting you get adjusted to everything so don't think it's slow necessarily.

Thank you. I've earned everything I have, and I know that I'm not entitled to anything. It all just takes time, patients and work. Although, after running into the guy I went through orientation with I found out that hes on the elogs, and I'm still on paper, which made me think for a moment that maybe I'm not doing them right, or that maybe I was forgotten...:biggrin_25525: haha

you're doing them right I'm sure, they'll get to you eventually. One problem I had with mine is making sure you're really off duty, double check that, go into your log advisor and check where it shows current status at the bottom. Even pushing in your parking brake and rolling forward a few feet can put you on duty so watch for that.

Both. Houston can be hot or cold for us zeros. There's no in between for us.

Oh and did I mention this project sucks? The home time is great but the pay sucks a big one. I'm not much of a home body as it is, so this is a bit much for me, but I'm ready to get off of this. 3250 miles every paycheck isn't going to pay the bills.

I was offered a regional back just after thanksgiving.. pick up in Arlington to parts unknown and back... miles were unknown, weekends off, home a few nights a week... lasted 3 to 4 months. I turned it down. I just didn't like the unknown and with a potentially lower paycheck and in increase in my home utilities it just wasn't worth it to me.

Any of you guys know of a good place to park for the night in or around Tyler, tx? I gotta pick up there in the AM and kinda want to sleep close so I don't waste drive time.

Checking my POI database on my Streets & Trips, in the city limits there are 2 on the east side...

Truck Express (medium size) on Loop 323 just south of 155
Tyler Truck Stop (small size) on Loop 323 at the intersection of Loop 124.

North of Tyler off the Freeway...

Road Island Exxon (small size) at US271 and 155
    Pilot (large), I10 at x562
Diamond Shamrock (medium), I10 X556 in Lindale
    Wilco Travel Stop (medium), I10 x567. A

And, as expected, theres a few walmarts scattered around Tyler. If you want the locations of those lemme know.

I can find the wally worlds, I just wasn't finding any truckstops for some reason. Thanks though, that helps a lot! Now I just need to get the motivation to get moving in a few hours. Lol.
