That's exactly what happened. They were having too many guys wanting to rotate off and no one wanting to come on.

I'm seriously glad that they listened. Just another way to show that this is a genuinely good company to work for.

That's a nice little pay bump on that project, I was talking to a friend who said that's about $600 more take home per month than the old set up. Anyway, I used a week vacation for this home time. $500 for staying home. Ok I guess. Be back at it Tuesday am.

EDIT - vacation pay is 750 not 500.

From the freight pickins' you prolly made the right decision. After taking those pipes to Laredo I got the short straw and had to take a load of CAT stuff to Victoria... Then got an even shorter straw and got a 360 mile JSW load, tarped at that, to Brownsville for Monday. Then on the way to pickup my AC went out. Normally not a concern for March but it was near 90 today. So, get her fixed up... Then head down there tomorrow I guess and reset. I can only hope I get a good oversize load with some miles behind her Monday out of pharr.

What did you do to claim vacation pay? Just let your DM know? Im not taking any until Aug.... Then im being drug to a wedding in Fontana next april... Hoorah for me.

Just let 'em know yep, don't expect them to get you there on the day you need of course, standard operating procedure. I didn't even ask for the money but I figured should I get canned in the near future I might as well be sure I get what's coming to me. I'm not expecting anything, just skeptical by nature.

I dropped off the repower load yesterday out in Beowawe, NV and then was told to head home. So I deadheaded about 450 miles and made it to the truck stop right by my house with 1 minute left on my clock. Now to finally get my kit put on the truck and have her ready to go for Tuesday morning.

Oh yeah, can you guys explain to me how to check our paystubs online?

Go to http://www.lstinc.com/, hover over Quick Links at the top right, click Settlement from the drop down options and enter your driver code with the PIN number you set up with during orientation when you were in Ft. Worth. Click Settlement History and the date of the pay you're looking to check out.

Make sure they paid you everything your owed every pay period. I keep an excel spreadsheet of every mile i'm dispatched empty and loaded, if it was oversize, and stop pay. I haven't had a problem until this period.. I didn't get paid my 3 extra stops a few weeks ago.. things happen but i'm not worried that they won't pay... I'll prolly get it in my next check.

If anyone is Type A++ like I am and are interested in a copy lemme know and i'll clear my data and send it to y'all.

they missed a tarp pay on mine, every time you get a tarp load make it a point ask your dispatcher if the tarp pay is on there if you don't get the message in the dispatch that is.

I emailed my DM and he forgot to add it to the load order.. so i'll get it next pay period. I pulled a sweet load today though. I delivered down in Brownsville this morning and was told to deadhead to the Corpus Christi yard and get the FE trailer there.. the ones with the rear slider... shortly after the load order came in... drill pipe from Morgan City, LA to Nisku AB. Not bad at all... 658 mile deadhead and 2304 miles loaded. Imma have a great check next pay period! Too bad I suspect I owe on my taxes tho. Fail..
