I too hope I will be here for the next generation... if I can keep from screwing up too bad in the future.
On my last load, I took all the pars work from all 5 of us from Morgan City and scanned then faxed from my truck. Then took all the pars paperwork and needed permits and printed them for everyone. Kinda threw the canada people who gather stuff for us for a loop. Apparently theyve never had anyone do that much work to get cleared. i didnt mind it tho.
Then yesterday at the port I had my dock reciept but another driver didnt... And had to go to the truckstop to have it faxed.... Which coulda taken an hour or more. I gave him my fax and he had it in hand in 3 minutes.
I think I need to start charging for my services. Lol. I did meet a driver a month ago in Laredo when I was hangin with DJ that said when he prints his own stuff he sends in a handmade reciept for 1.00 a page and the co reimburses him. His though process is that it costs money to be this technologically advanced. Thats a #### good idea and may follow suit if I can ever remember to buy a reciept book on my weekly shopping trip.

You can get receipt books at TA. I had to get one when the US border folks didn't give me a receipt last time they charged me to come back into my own country.
Mystikal Thanks this. -
Savannah load off, now I'm meeting another driver in Conyers and taking that one to Garland. Forgot to mention I was approved for blade training so I guess they'll get me back for the class whenever that happens to be.
jomar68 Thanks this. -
I scored another load from Beaumont TX to Fort Saskatchewan. Its been a rough one for sure.... but i'm in Billings MT taking a reset and Sunday i'll finish up the drive to the final.
jomar68 Thanks this. -
I just delivered a 12m from North Little Rock to Elko, NV. Sitting in Colby, KS for a reset then heading the rest of the way to Tulsa tomorrow. Have to load in Owasso, OK on monday for Heidelberg, MS. I have a short in my marker lights somewhere though and I keep blowing the fuse. Petro spent 3 hours looking at it last night and fixing wiring issues, only for me to wake up to a blown fuse again this morning.

Those places are a waste. I spent 6 hours at the TA in west OKC trying to get the doubledrop fixed when it had electrical issues. LS sent me to a local mechanic they've had positive results with and he had it fixed in 30 minutes. TA is great for oil changes, tuneups, and tire repairs but thats about all.
I have yet to receive a preplan once I deliver monday... but if the trend follows suit i'll be going to either Aurora, UT or Milwaukee, WI. -
Where you delivering in Heidelberg?
