My Experience with Lone Star Transportation

Sitting in Terrell at the TA waiting to go to Copco in the am. Man that Conyers yard is interesting, have to block both lanes of traffic (while you put in the gate code) turning into it if the gates closed, then you need to time the automatic gate opening with the light/traffic so you can get out.

 

But they got a Golden Corral a couple of exits up. I always make a pig of myself in that place.

 

I used to love Golden Corral that is until I saw a very obese man eating so fast he choked and had some of it come out his nose. Disturbing. Anyway, unloaded at copco this morning, took the tarp off (that the driver I repowered it from put on) and saw a disturbing sight, 4 pallets on the trailer, paperwork said 5. Appreciate that headache on a Monday. I totally got the short end on the equipment swap as well, he gave me dry rotted bungees I gave him new, straps were ok when he put them on I'm guessing but he didn't use edge protection and ruined half of them. Mondays.

 

I got to the port a little after 8 this morning with my two pallets that weigh a total of 4000lbs, and I'm still sitting here waiting, and now I just got told that its linch time and they'll be back at 1300..fml.. AZs I totally agree. Mondays.

 

Well we'll make up time going to Jersey.

 

You going to jersey too? I finally made it out of the port, but was there until 1430, so I missed the 1530 cutoff at the pipe place, so guess who gets to spend the night at the baytown TA and load first thing in the morning..lol

 

yup at the Houston yard, had to get some 4x4's as well as new straps/bungees. I'll be there at 0600.

 

Sweet, ill be there at 0600 as well. Will be nice to finally meet someone from here. Lol. I'm in trk 146

 

Met up with DieselDog81 today and a few other drivers, so we all going to NJ. lol. Some characters in this company.

 

I saw about 6 of y'all along I-10 in Lake Charles with coated pipe. Be safe going to the east coast.
