nice. i am really thinking about this co. i haul equipment now locally and regional. but i do need to learn more about real flatbed as in tarping things. i have no worries about securing just tarping and folding them back up. hopefully they will still train a little bit like they did 4 u!
-
if you have fb exp they will just send you out without training. And even in the training they do not doing anything with tarps. I learned to fold my tarps from another one of our drivers. I still dont know how to tarp.
American Trucker -
When I was leased to them they did show you how to tarp a coil. They had a large one on the yard. They must have changed how they do things. Tarping a load isn't that difficult. It is mostly common sense. There are some things that make tarping a little easier. What would you like to know? -
Hey AT, I start orientation with lone star on the 2nd. What can I expect?
-
i just wanna see how to do it lol. As far as coils in orientation they flipped right past the slides on coils they said thats all you need to know...they dont do coils very rare.

expect to gain a few pounds, do a ton of paper work, and get a shiny 379.

I got to get back used to a big truck. For the past 2 and a half years I have been in a single axle day cab with a set of doubles.
-
They seem like a good company to work for. I'm looking for a Change. I see some of there trucks rolling around must say I would like to haul some of thier loads. My loads are getting boring .
-
Make sure you put padding on any sharp edges and keep the tarp tight on the padding. I will sometimes throw some straps across the tarps to keep it from moving around with the wind. If you fold the tarps right they should just fall the way you want them when you unroll it. It takes time and practice. The Challenger and American-Trucker Thank this.
