Went up to the Shipper today, with the other guys. Dropped my trailer/tarps/straps/VBoards, and only had to wait a few min for them to finishes tarping and straping the load.

I gave them 2 FRESHLY refurbished tarps, and they gave me 2 POS tarps, both are COVERED with HUGE holes! What the F### am i suposed to do now? I tried duct tape but it wont stick to the stupid tarp????????????????????????????????????????????????????

A Western Exspress driver showed me how tight to make the straps on this stuff, i hope i didnt crush anything They seem loose (probably because i like them as tight as i can get them lol)

That place is literally out in the middle of NOWHERE.

Anyhoo went down to get weighed

this truck pulls this like nothing, so smooth between the LONG truck and the spread its like pulling an MT van.

then i headed west on 20 to 30 and am now in Caddo Mills, TX. And of course (sorry for your inconvienance but the showers are out of order) WTF I HATE PILOT. Why you ask? Not because the showers dont work. But because the showers are just fine, there stupid computer system is down so they arent letting people use the showers (this isnt the first time i've had this happen because of this at a pilot), these people are STUPID, how hard is it to go and unlock a door for a driver?

Anyway, im busting my butt to get to VA, so i can get to one of my fav truck stops to do a 34 before i deliver on monday. I'll be at a J in TN tomorrow somewhere, then my fav truck stop by 2pm on Saturday in VA about 45 min away from the receiver.

Any advice on the tarps? I REALLY dont wanna have to put a 3rd tarp over this little load lol. Oh and they DID cover the load with plastic before they tarped it....

these, are our (lone star) tarps, and they put plastic on all the loads not just ours. I dont want to run into rain/snow between here and Monday morning and deliver 47,000lbs of soaking wet sheet rock lol. Is there a way to patch these tarps while its on the load?

I carry some humunguous super heavy rubbery tarps. I don't know what they're made of exactly.. But anyway, I also carry some rubber glue and spare rubbery tarp material the shop gave me.. And I patch as I need it. I usually patch both sides of the hole, but I'm sure patching just the one side is plenty.

Hey, btw.. did anyone tell you about how you can't jackknife a flatbed like a van?

I have never had a problem jack-knifing a flatbed, as long as it ain't a spread axle
