Sounds like you may have found a good one, probably why nobody was talking about them before, they didn't want to let the cat out of the bag.

Just currious, what's their policy on taking the truck home? I mean, what's your plan for home time? Terminal nearby?

Yeah, so what happens in the states that require chains to be carried this time of year?

One would assume they don't travel through them.

Would limit some good freight potential. I'm sure with an outfit that size the need to make a trip to the NW comes up once or twice during the winter.

They run all 48, Just no Chains. From what another driver said (take it for what its worth) they pay your ticket for not haveing chains.

You take the truck home while on hometime. My plan is 4 weeks out 4 days home. From My understanding hometime requirments vary by home location. Closest terminal is Fort Worth, TX, Closest yard is in the Atlanta,GA Area.

Left the Hotel at 5am, was told to be in OKC, OK at 730 to get our TWIC cards, we get there at 7am, sign says they open at 830 :biggrin_25511:

They came in at 8, and 10 people outside at that point so she didnt have much choice but to let us in. They had some computer issues so it took us a while to get outta there, didnt leave till 935 am.

Got back to the terminal at 12 and hung out in the drivers lounge for about an hour then went to lunch, more mexican today.

Then we came back to the terminal, then i took the company car out to get gas. Then came back and sat in the lounge some more for a few more hours then came back to the hotel.

We got our Fuel Cards today (Comdata), and was told we can fuel anywhere.

Tomorrow we leave the Hotel at 6am to go to the Fort Worth Terminal to meet a bunch of people, including the owner of the company, we do all our benifit stuff and payroll stuff down there.

After that we will come back to gainesville and hang out in the hotel, they are renting me a car for next week, (which i think i'll be picking up tomorrow), and they will be paying for a hotel while down in Houston for FB Training. They also Cut me a $400 Comcheck for Exspenses for next week (food).

2 of the guys got to see there trucks today, both are in the shop getting major work done, 1 guys truck is at peterbilt getting some work done all 3 trucks are 379's. One guys truck wont be ready until Tuesday, and they dont have a truck for me yet since i wont need one for at least a week.

Since it is a safety thing/issue you wouldn't it affect everyone's CSA scores?

Thats what i said, i donno. If/when i get a ticket, i'll get to the bottom of it. Till then i aint complaining about being told NOT to get cold/wet/tired chaining up.
