Monday:
Got up, drove 1 hour out into BFE, TX. Waited at the fuel stop and followed the customer along with the crane, crane crew, and the 4 of the 5 trucks that actully showed up (one truck decieded not to show up) to the job site.
Watched them setup the crane, and they unloaded me first, even though i was the last one to get to the fuel stop....I wasnt going to argue since i had a pre plan, other drivers sure were whining though lol
Then i went to our Pharr, TX terminal to hook to my next load, i was told it needed to be tarped and my Tarp pay was already put in the system.
I get there, its 2 CAT blades (Painted already). 1' High x 4' wide x 28' Long EACH and a TOTAL of 7,100lbs.....I know there is no such thing as too much securement but....i put 3 Chains and 4 Straps on it.....41,800lbs of securement for 7,100lbs of freight....lol
Then as i start to tarp it, one of our yard guys comes over on a forklift says "your gonna tarp that? i've never seen that stuff go out tarped". Then the receiver tells me when i got there...."hey i've NEVER seen that stuff come in tarped....."Oh well at least i got paid for it....
Here's the Load:
Then after getting that all squared away, i headed to Harvey, IL (just south of Chicago) I ran as far as i could (14 hour rule) to Robinson, TX. Fueled/Parked for 10
Tuesday:
Got up headed out right after my 10, drove 672 miles to Matthews, MO all in 11 hours (total on Duty Time Only 10.75 on line 3). Fueled/Parked for 10
Wensday:
Left right after my 10 again at 3am and headed to harvey, IL, got there by 915. More stupid people at this receiver, the WHOLE place is 6-8" DEEP of MUD! so I got to untarp, take my securement off, put it away, and FOLD the tarps ON the trailer!!!!!!!!!!!got outta there as fast as i could dispite there stupidity.
Headed to Milwaukee, WI (avoiding the Tolls of course...no EZPass). Got there, and they took 2 HOURS to put 2 crates on my trailer.....Didnt take any pics of this load sorry forgot/didnt have time.
When i left the shipper i had 30 min left on my 14 and was 30 min from the Loves in Oak Creek, WI so i headed there. Got there scaled 72,000lbs, fueled, parked for 10.
The crates were both 7' wide x 7' tall x 7' long. 1 was 15,000lbs and the other was 25,000lbs.
Thursday:
Headed out right after my 10 (load didnt deliver until MONDAY but i new i could get it there Friday so i hammered down! Left The truck stop at 330am and drove 647 miles (in 11 hours, 10.75 on line 3) to Palestine, AR. Fueled/Parked for 10
Friday:
I left right after my 10 again at 12:30am!!!!!!!!And drove all the way to Houston, TX to the Port, got there at 10am. Unloaded and out by 1115 am. BUT i was just about OOH for the day on a friday.....
So i headed to the J in Baytown (15 min away). Dispatch said i might get a load outta the Laredo Term tomorrow.....i'll find out later today.
I logged 52+ hours on duty from Monday morning till i parked here and fueled.....and a little over 2900 miles, i need to do laundry and my truck needs to be washed BAD! and i'm exhausted AND most importantly......................... The Daytona 500 is on Sunday...so i'm kinda just hopeing to stay here for the weekend. Since i can do laundry, get my truck washed, sleep and watch the race. and IF i were to go to laredo tomorrow, do my D/h and run to the end of my 11 i would only have 5.5 hours to work for sun/mon so i would only get to San Antonio or maybe Katy TX....then to maybe the TA in LA before the MS boarder where i'd have to do a reset which would screw up all of next week.
So we'll see what happends, I grossed Over $1,200 from Monday morning till i pulled in here today at 1130am so i'm goodNo complaints here about watching the Biggest race of the year

Well, i got half of what i wanted.
I have Literaly the most wanted parking spot at this J (wanted by the fatazzes) I am in the Closest spot to the door, its IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to block me in.
And well i think im going to give it upto go swap out my flat for a step at the houston terminal, then come back here and do my reset, so i'll get to wash my truck and new step which is nice....and of course do laundry and sleep and watch the race.....BUT i have to give up this spot (not that i want it) BUT i dont wanna get blocked in some where since this place turns into a flustercluck at night all 3 truck stops!
But i also got a load, was suposed to be picked up at the port (that i was at today) today...well im ooh so ya that aint happening, so i have to wait till monday (stupid union workers!) But its just goin over to MS about 11-12 hours away 700ish miles.
Picking up a old Cat motor (requires a step so im thinking its one of them HUGE ones) and i dont wanna waste my hours or deal with traffic on monday trying to get to the terminal and back to the port.
So i'll head over there early tomorrow morning well kinda early maybe 8 or so lol its only 30-45 min from here, then come back since im only 15 min from the port here.
ugh lol i gotta work....like a little tomorrow! haha but my truck will be all shiny and sheet!
OH and one of my 100+ lug nut covers fell off on my way here today! so i'll have to buy another one tonight....lol
American TruckerWedge Thanks this. -
well scrap that plan
Now i have to leave here at 0430, go grab that same step, go load somewhere else in houston have to be there by 7am. And its going to Compton, CA. They arent sure when it delivers yet, but i cant get it there until at least wen morning, theres a driver thats going to be MT in San Antonio tomorrow morning at 0700, so if they need it there before i can get it there they'll have me repower there, then reset in san antonio.
I hope thats what happends i HATE playing the hours game
