Question for the May guys. Somewhere I thought I read where May doesn't do direct deposit. Is this true? Not that it would be a deal breaker for me, but I do like having my check go right into my personal bank account, especially since I'll probably have to set up auto pay with some, if not all, of my creditors.

When I worked for May Trucking they did not do direct deposit, that is not saying they do or don't direct deposit now. And it certainly was not a point in there favor. They out the payroll on a com-chek card and it sucked, it cost you money to get your own payroll money. My wife would have to go up tp the Giant in Mojave and cash com cheks them take it to the bank. But this was back in 2005 - 2004. If they would have done direct depost I would probably still be there.

May lets you log as you need to to cover the loads, and they will run your wheels off. Truck are good, not washing trailers I don't get though.

The direct answer is NO, they do not have direct deposit to your bank account. The round about answer is --it is put on your comm-data card and from there you can send it to your bank account.
Takes 2-4 days to show up on your account. My bank ( Chase )
would not honor a comm-check, for some strange reason.

Thanks guys. Like I said, not a deal breaker if they decide to bring me on.

I've always had direct deposit so pardon my being naive, but how do you send it to your bank if your on the road? My bank is Wachovia.

very similar to direct deposit as you will go thru a setup in orientation and give them your account numbers etc, Then when your check is put on the comdata card, you will call a 800# and the voice prompt will tell you how to do it. You can choose how much to send on to your bank and how much to hang on to. You can also use the
ATM in a T/S to get cash, but at a cost of about $3.50-$4.00
per withdrawl. I use to go to BofA ATM's. Cost was $2.00=$3.00
    per draw.

    Voyager1968 Thanks this.

i can use my Debit card anywhere and never pay an ATM fee, my bank pays any and all ATM fees.
If you're local to AZ checkout MidFirst Bank, great people. i'll be sad when i have leave them when i move back to Washington state. not sure what other banks offer ATM fee reimbursment, but i'd look around, it's very nice to be able to get ALL your money.
