So, what do you want to do? 450 a day times 3 days equals 1350 invested. Thats 150 more than what I paid for my sister to get her CDL at the community college. Now you want to walk...
Perhaps it's for the best.
Story time.
At my company, they start drivers out with smaller oversized loads and work them up to the bigger loads. Before you can get to the big loads, they have you come in and take a test. I tell drivers not to accept any loads until they complete the test. They HEAR me, but they don't listen.
They show up and get the test pages and are told no time limit. However an hour after they start, the travel agent comes running up to tell them about some high paying load that has to be picked up today. They accept the load and try to rush through the test.
Dispatcher comes back breathing down their neck with urgency. Now they are clock watching and cannot concentrate fully. Frustrated, they ball the test up and walk out to get their load.
Looking at today, not tomorrow. Yeah, you gain a decent paying load, but lose out on probably an extra 75 grand. When I see them again and ask about how they did on the test, they tell me about the money load and how much of an arse the instructor was. "Driver, did I not warn you that's exactly what would happen?"
Cool head prevails, people. How do you expect to reach the top if someone can get you out of your game? Are you that easily frustrated? You're not hurting that instructor by not showing back up. He got paid. You lost time AND your money invested.
Now, I'm not saying go back to that chump and keep handing him money if you are not improving. I'm just saying for future reference to become goal oriented and be determined to see things through and reach the goal.
Cool head amigo. Luck on battle.

Not giving up but not going there again. Looking at a school in NH.
And you are right about not taking a load until you have tested.
Not giving up.
BTW, I did not realize that I had posted this in the wrong forum.... Sorry people!! -
First move out of Boston. Learn that there is something call Republicans.
As to raising RPMs when you are down shifting, yes you do and down deep inside you know that. You have known it since you were a wee laddie. This is going to seem stupid but......
Sit down in a chair. Pretend you have a wheel in front of you and a stick shift to your right. In front of you below your pretend wheel are three pedals. Clutch brake and go faster pedal. Now when you were young you would make a noise like a truck. That noise was you imagining the engine revving up. When the engine began to wine you pushed the clutch in and shifted. Now you have to double clutch so you bring the stick to neutral before you continue. Then you push the clutch in again. If you are up shifting the pitch of the engine noise gets lower and then you shift again. That is the drop in RPM. Now when you are down shifting the noise gets higher and then drops. That is you raising the RPMs to down shift. Then you let it drop in pitch as the engine slows down and repeat.
Shifting is done with the EAR. You listen to the engine sing. If you try to look at the gauges you will always be late as the gauges lag. It really is as simple as letting the inner child in you out.morpheus Thanks this. -
I got during the third outing. And yes, i know shifting is done by ear and that's how I shift my car.
My plan is to move out of MA because of the cost of living is getting out of control rent and real estate wise. Even where I am on the northeast border of NH, about 50 miles north of Boston, a decent 1 bedroom is 1k a month or more. -
