Nope, but it's a good try. He prices his loads correctly, asks for rates increases when the time is right and pays the drivers correctly. So like one guy, we'll call him Steve, is going make $1000 running Monday, Tuesday, and home Wednesday night, then off until next Monday.

I never said all companies receive subsidies and how do you know they are'nt?They certainly won't tell you.

Just shoots your theory down was my point, there are several ways of having new trucks and elogs. Govt $$ isn't the only way to do things.

Just because where u work possibly isn't on govt assistance doesn't mean others arent using the government.If the government is that stupid to just hand companies the money then you bet companies will take it.Your employer is small and maybe doesn't meet the qualifications for subsidy.

So why is every company paying people to analyze their turnover, driver retention is a big ticket item. If there is more money in bringing in student after student you would think they wouldn't waste their time trying to figure out why drivers are leaving. Don't get me wrong, once they have an idea of why drivers are leaving they'll probably not make a change to make the drivers stay, but it's a fact that companies analyze turnover and have countless meetings to figure out how to reduce turnover. They could save that money, and just roll around in it. OR you know let new hires to into the money booth and have 30 seconds to grab their sign on bonus.
