And no I don't drive or ever will with Werner to answer above post question. At 1st it can be nerve racking especially without a trainer doing his job to lead u the way. Once u go solo you'll find your groove and what mistakes not to make. Everyone makes wrong turns and messes up time to time. Its a learning curve you have to adapt to. If you have the drive no pun intended then get with a better company if not then good luck to you. I wouldn't judge the whole job of making it on your experience there. But if you can do without financially and not away from home then I'd go that route as well I just don't have that choice at this point in time in my life. But 8 months into it its a lot better than 1st week after training, I only had 2 weeks of training. I'm comfortable enough what I'm doing at this point as far as the job goes and if I don't learn everyday from the trucking industry as a whole then ill retire. Or if I win the lottery LOL.

LOL Ran accross this thred and it reminded me of an experiance I had when I was a trainer at werner. Turns out I was someone 4th trainer once too. It only took me from Atlanta to Laredo To figure out that dude was going to get someone killed. Had them fire his ### in Laredo too. To him Id be that ####### trainer. You people have a bit of a thin skin when it comes to these noobies. You need to realize that its just as big of a part of the trainers job to weed out the people that cant handle a truck as it is to train those that can. Ive only ever run off 2 guys in the last 4 years worth of training, and both of them needed to be run off. Dont really care what people think either because I KNOW I saved someone life by getting rid of them.

Yeah I would have to say this has been an eventful thread. I never would've thought I would've started a brawll in this thread but I thought I needed to worn everyone trying to get into this business. Im still getting calls from Werner asking if I'm coming back. But I found that Roehl really cares about their drivers and their training program. They make sure students get all the training they need to be a successful driver.

Well it is Werner, anything is possible.

With the quality trainers I've seen out there I'll give the student the benefit of the doubt.

Werner keeps calling me, emails and now text messages. Spoke with a recruiter briefly and he said if I choose to do the family dollar account, It was a customer unload. I was born during the day, but it wasn't today. They are full of more S### than a Christmas goose! Unreal how stupid they think drivers are. Not as dumb as they would like us to be.:biggrin_2552:

With Werner , the word "Integrity" means a small town on the outskirts of Intercourse,PA. They haven't a clue any longer. Truly a sad state of affairs. If you live in Intercourse,PA I ment nothing by it.:biggrin_25512:
