Like I said,I would like to hear the trainers side.Unless he gives his trainers more of a chance then only couple days,he's never going to find a good trainer.Far as another carrier goes, you seen one you seen em all.

They can't drive over midnight as far as I know but then again who knows. Maybe some can & some can't when it comes to Werner. All I know is my husband was told he couldn't just kick someone off for any old reason (not that he would). What ever happened to people treating people like, i don't know, PEOPLE. I hear what you're saying too @ Pattyj but it just get SO frusterating when good people are treated like crap & its the crappy people who get defended. Thats whats wrong with the world in general these days. No wonder good people go bad (not that thats an excuse) but geez, everyone has a breaking point. I am fully aware & do realize that there are 2 sides to every store however. I am commenting on what was posted based on benefit of the doubt, in general. If what he claims happened to him really didn't, then everything is null & void ;)

Doesn't sound like it was a matter of Him giving his TRAINERS more time but rather the other way around. @Patty

in all fairness, she could say the same thing to you but the other way around. ~Just sayin ;) @ Rif Raf

When I was trainer..I would inform the students that as long as they operate the truck safely and we get to destinations on time and incident free, they could pull off at rest areas or truck stops for pit stops...I had no issue with that at all..any trainer that attempts to force a trainee to do unsafe acts just because the trainer wants to use trainee as a $$ pawn in my opinion is NOT QUALIFIED to be a trainer..

This is the biggest reason why these training co's Have such a high accident rate..when there's unqualified people training, well then the student is not getting the training they deserve to be successful in order to be able to support their families!

I just came off curfew, when I got that arse of a trainer. I'm still here after the bull and you think I have thin skin!! get over your self... Maybe it's been to long sence you work at Werner cause things have changed...

I'm not new to trucking, and I trained bus drivers for 6 years when I used to be involved in the transit industry. All 4 of those so called trainers should never be allowed to train again.

Lets see first one gets fired for breaking the law. He sure did a great job teaching him how to be a trucker didn't he?

Second one nearly let the guy die on his truck, yes bronchitis can be a life threatening illness. Only thing he showed him is how to be a heartless SOB, that trainer would probably be a perfect match for you pattyj, you looking for a man?

Third was an ####### just looking for a 2nd log book. The only thing he taught him seems to be don't worry about being tired, safety doesn't matter, just #### and drive.
