CRE is a joke, I went thru the cedar hill, tx school last year witch is a joke. I leased a truck and started out ok thought the bad stuff I heard about CRE was just guys pissed off they couldnt sit for a week and make money, I was wrong. I never saw home but on 10 rest breaks when I was in the area for 3 months. I ran and ran and ran miles still ended up falling behind (variable mileage kills you) now I made #### good checks for the first month and a half then the runs started getting shorter and the sitting got longer. there was load I had to wait 3 days to pick up, I tried my hardest to get a new DM calling everyone I could think of to call. the one guys number I was given to call by most everyone never picked up his phone nor returned my calls. His name is Tony V dont remember his last name other then it started with a v.
I even took a phase 2 trainer (witch CRE lets you take a class the day you sign a lease to take a phase 2) after i had been out for 2 months and this tard takes a right off a road that says NO THRU TRUCKS even after I told him stay on this road until we get to xxxxx. Any how he tried the turn ran the trailer up a hill and instead of stopping after it was apparent he hit the curb and hill, he tries to pull the 44k trailer over it.
after 2100 in a new tire and safety checks on the frame and 5th wheel and a tow THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR!!! CRE said id get reimbursed 500 from them and some from the insurance but i never seen any of it. after that i turned my truck.

I don't get it..When are all theses wannabes gonna listen to others who get dragged thru the mud and learn from it...It's always "I have a buddy who worked for them"...blah blah blah and said it wasn't bad..I've talked to plenty of them sitting at truck stops for multiple days sweating and biting their nails trying to figure out how they're gonna make that truck payment with no miles. From what I hear, you sign a lease for a truck and you just don't give it back and walk away like everythings ok...they will come after you and wait until you see what ur credit report looks like then.Oh yeah, my friend came up to SLC with me to Swift and he just left CRE.He was doing ok then they found out he wasn't mormon and all of a sudden....3000/wk went to 1000 miles/wk....hmmmmmmm...He went home for a few days and found a guy going thru his truck (from CRE) in front of his house....They wanted it back...Surprise!!! That's how they roll..........just my .02......

Hey nicnat...what are you smoking...I gotta get me some. You obviously don't know the first thing bout CRE. I leased a truck and drove for them for 5 years...I also left them in 2010 left their truck in their yards in SoCal with 6mos left on my lease and you know what....they never came after me...still haven't. And you know what else...I am not a Mormon...they knew this. I am a atheist in part and they were also aware of this and I still averaged good miss. So whatever your smoking...plz pass along the doobie...

I never said everyone gets it put to them. Not everyone has a bad experience...what are u smoking? There's so many things wrong with that Co. that I'm not gonna even get started...I sat there talking to their drivers...Especially on a 8 hr bus ride up to SLC, and sitting there polishing their trucks up at T/S's waiting for days on a load.. I guess that doesn't count for anything huh....I guess they just made all the crap up that's happening to them,huh...I never drove for them so I don't have the inside view...Swift had it's share of issues too...believe me. But I was never pushed into a lease ..They had plenty of freight and I never sat around at all...That's why I left cause they couldn't get me home...oh well...Hey kmac.who do you work for?....
-
Ohh...you never drove for them? And you learned alot hanging around the truck stop...well now that qualifies you to troll the thread.

I miss carrott top.....

Cooper09 Thanks this.

Just because I didnt work for them doesnt mean I didnt know what was going on...You Wannabe's have no clue at what we do on the road...only what you read...right...Sometimes it's nice to talk to other drivers when you stop...don't assume it was a all night thing either...just a couple guys talking while eating dinner...you see, you start talking about the weather or something and next thing you know they are telling you about who they work for and the ups and downs associated with their job. Since I usually stayed out west, especially around the I-15 and I-80, it seems like I used to run into CRE guys all the time...You listen and learn from what they're saying...it's a 2 way street too....You can learn a lot at t/s's too.
Basically I'm not trashing the company but telling from my perspective...there's a lot out there about every company that's for sure......I read a bunch of bad stuff about Swift and Werner and GTI....every co. has skeletons in the closet that's for sure. I'm not a hater of any company willing to give anyone a chance to start a new career either. You just have to be smart and not rush into any rash decisions too...I found that out the hard way.
