Well I had been out for 40 days, with 1 reset and ran my ##### off up n down the east coast, midwest etc.. you know how it goes. I was feeling the burn, being my first time out, and longed for the soft embrace of my girlfriend and the laughter of family and friends.
The first day back home, the stories of miles past flowed, the hugs and laughter I so longed for surrounded me like a warm welcome home blanket, home time is good for the soul.
Feels good to be back home for a few days, but I will admit I do miss being out on the road. So tomorrow 0800 im back in the rig ready to roll back out. Packed a few items I found I needed when I was out the last time, and took off a lot of things I didnt. Ready to get back at it and get them wheels rolling once more. I feel lucky I have a job, a job I love to do everyday. Give me a long stretch of road and im a happy guy.
Yea being home for only 2 days does suck to a degree, but I will say it feels even better knowing im out there making money, not getting rich, but at least the account has a ballance now days.
Its good to get the first round under my belt, so now the second time out Ill be more prepaired as what to expect and meet the challenges head on. One thing I do not miss are all them #### reefer vans that seem to think I enjoy there company running all night parked next to me, lol..
Be safe out there all, and I hope you all make it home safe to your loved ones.
-=Peace

I'll trade ya... i was out, did my 40, came home and noticed my feet were swelling, next day went to nowcare to get it checked out, just to be safe...
well i'm awating my apointment with my 4th doctor , something with the liver is about all i have got out of them so far. So i'm stuck at home per dr orders not making cash, its starting to get snug in the wallet.
It is nice to be home and be with the other half, and kids, that is for sure. But if this goes on much longer i'm gona be in the poor house. Mortgage and bills dont care if you are sick.
Hope you enjoy your day's at home. -
Good lord, Hammer!! 40 days out and 2 days home?
Oh yeah.... you are a trucker. Nuff said. -
Good job, that's the kind of tough work ethic that will keep money in the bank. Make sure you can't fail, celebrate later. When you're established and reliable, the hometime will come to you.
That's how you bring home bacon for the family, well done.Jarhed1964 Thanks this.
