I just gotta hit a idle charge for 70 dollars , last week I was off work for 7 days completely . the week prior I was in severe hot state purchase texas kansas oklahoma and nebraska .there was a severe heat wave in the midwestern those times . I have 1 load going from dallas texas all the way to north platte nebraska ,and another from salina kansas to atlanta georgia .those miles raleigh about 2000 miles for 1 week .that is not enough miles to keep rolling to keep the idles down . that being said I'm extremely pissed off and I am seeking other opportunities .if they can't keep me rolling I am not paying them for idle time .I am sending a message over the qualcomm tomorrow to my driver manager I do not agree to any more charges . I'm just gonna give them a warning cuz I am I'm at the point . miles are too inconsistent and their way too low , I let my driver manager know every single time when it was hot including night dispatch. I'm going to seek another opportunity with a company that I don't have to pay idle time. I have yet to see my bank account go up at all since getting working here . Out!
my first idle charge

I just found a internet connection so hear goes, The past 3 weeks have been low miles, I had only 1800 average, I will not sit out here for only 1800 miles a week, They can pound sand. I gave them every opportunity to give me as many and run hard, they cant plan ANYTHING PROPERLY. It took 2 months to get a inverter, the truck maintenance was 6k miles past due, The miles they give me have been in hot states. Sometimes I feel like its plannings fault for low miles and too much time in between. I feel that my (Female) Driver manager lacks aggressive skills to take care of drivers. She is nice but this is not what I signed up for, yesterday from Layton Utah to Boise Idaho was around 300 plus miles, they always take 40-50 miles off that in their so called zip code milage. I wouldnt have a problem but the miles are too low!

What will you do durring the slowdown in freight this winter ?
-
May has bunk heaters for winter time. Over idle in Winter is hard to do, unless you have a battery issue.
