Sitting here in Amarillo, I realized that I have been driving for a month already..Wow, time flies when they keep you busy.So far I have learned a lot, and I am sure their is A LOT more to learn. I have met a lot of cool drivers that have given me tons of helpful info. I'm thankful Axe was around my first couple of trips,he too helped me out a lot. From 5/31 to 6/30 I have driven a total of 12,903 miles. Within those dates I took 3 resets, and had 0 home days. My truck has been good to me, no major break-downs other than having my alternator replaced which set me back 4 hours. It's an older truck with 775,346 miles but it is well maintainedand runs really good, I enjoy driving past those other company trucks that didn't bother calling backoverall I'm very happy with w/s, and I hope it stays that way.anyone know after how many miles they switch trucks?Id really like one of the newer Volvo's

What kind of money you making and keep us posted on your next month with them

Well at 25 cents per mile that comes out to $3,225.75, plus drop pay and tuition reimbursement, so all in all I grossed about $3,500 for the month.
I'll definitely update my progress as the month goes on.2021DREAM Thanks this. -

it is cheap but with paper logs and drop pay the potential to run 4k+ miles per week or big dollars in drops is there for the go get'm type of driver. -

.25cpm is for people right out of CDL school with no experience and they get no trainer time, just true OJT...Like he showed, you can still make money and from what we read on this forum everyday, it's much better than most company drivers are making(total, not cpm)...You can make more cpm with other starter companies but if you don't get the miles, does it matter?...And you don't have to spend any time with someone you don't know cramped into a truck for weeks on end wondering if you have a job, once you're in a truck, you have a job!!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like you're off to a good start!!BigRedBigRig and 2021DREAM Thank this. -
I'm ok with starting at 25 a mile, I mean it puts food on the table and pays the bills, all the extras can come later after I get some miles under my belt. I am very glad I came to w/s, they keep you moving thats for sure. On another note, I'm having my alternator replaced again, 2 times in one week... but like the shop says, it Has to be done, no big deal it only sets back an hour or so.
