some artwork i did, thats me in the seat up in the upper left, thats when i took the pic of me in the school's truck

plus you can see my signature, i did that too. combined my love of Firefly/Serenity and trucking into one, and added a good motto to live by. translated it means "whatever you do, dont let anything stand in the way of your goals, keep yourself out of trouble, and always stay safe" :biggrin_25520:

Wow, you are talented. There's a lot of that in this forum. I like the drawing of the two trucks and self portrait. How do you like Roehl? I saw their recruiting ad - sounded promising. have a great day

the artwork is very good, but the "Super Trucker" fingerless gloves have got to go...unless you're proud to be labeled as such, then I won't bother to comment on anything you post again...except to point out the above label and it's uselessness in the industry

the gloves are for driver comfort. i have overly sweaty palms, and rather then fuble around with a wet steering wheel it seemed like a better idea to just wear gloves.:biggrin_2554:

roehl is treating me alright. my first trainer was fantastic... the one i got now... not so much. im real close to requesting a new trainer to finish out evo 2. however other then that this is a fantastic company to work for.

Why don't they keep you with the same trainer? Sorry to hear about being stuck with a bad one, what I am worried the most about when I go to my company next week.:biggrin_25524:

ok the situation wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. he was ticked off because of the way i said something:biggrin_2556:

anyway on thursday, hopefuly, ill be getting my own truck:biggrin_25523:

my school did the same thing, put us with differnt trainers for road and range. its a good practice because you get two differnt perspectives on how to do something, two differnt was to do whatever, and you can combine the two and use what you want from either/or. because if u end up witha darn good trainer and a really bad trainer.... then you know the right way from at least one. you get 2 good trainers then you will end up learning alot more and better ways to do things. its not a bad idea.

roehl is reall good with thier trainers thou, they weeded out the really bad ones, this one isnt bad persay... just really.... anal about alot of things. oh well. 4 more days and im solo so alls well :biggrin_255:

I'm glad you were able to work through the difficulties with your second trainer. I like your attitude about appreciating the different perspectives... and think you are going to do just fine! :yes2557:

Grats on almost making it through, hope getting your truck is flawless. Have 3 or 4 more days of school and I test for my CDL. 2nd week just flew by.

Okay, as long as there is a practical reason for it, other than "it just looks cool".

    2nd week???? i went to a 24 week course:yes2557: lol

make-e6: i got on cowboy boots because they are lighterweight then my other shoes and work better for clutch and throttle control, and the hat.... ok the hat is for looks:biggrin_2559: and the vests, but ive been doin the western look long before i got intot he industry. also the vests are non-offensive, one says 'trucker' and the other says 'all in a days work'.

i am by no means a 'super trucker' and dont want to be. i drive legal, get off the road when im tired, and am always polite to other drivers, customers, and anyone i communicate with on a daily basis. im not here to continue the sterotypes of drivers, im here to be part of the new face of the industry. polite, nice, and hard working.
