My first post

Hello, I have been enjoying this forum for several months. I thought it was time I posted something. I went to C-1 in Strafford MO and got my CDL August 2008. It was an exciting experience! I am not driving right now. My other half, and I, decided at the last minute we just could not say good-bye for weeks at a time. We are still struggling with the decision of should I or shouldn't I. I am 50 years old so I know we don't have a lifetime to decide, lol. Meanwhile, I thought I might try to find a job driving a dump truck locally, but it seems no one is hiring inexperienced drivers right now. I am hoping warmer weather will bring more possibilities.

I am totally fascinated with big trucks. A nice looking truck is a work of art as far as I am concerned. I am hoping being a part of this forum will help me be closer to the trucking industry without actually leaving home (until I am ready )

That is so coool! I don't know where my fascination for big trucks came from, but I have ignored it for a long time, and now I am getting a late start. I can't wait for things to pick up so I can jump in there and go.
