Nobody is chastising you,you did what you thought needed to be done,I respect any man that makes a decision and sticks by it.And as far as your take home and all that,is all that worth it if you constantly have to be looking over your shoulder for lights and wondering uh oh is this it.To each his own, good luck to you.Sorry if I offended you,was not my intent.I am impervious to it because I DONT DO IT.

    Now, I don't think that's correct.

maybe next time--you could call and see if you can switch the appt time--either call the boss or aldi recv office
but i know what you mean--i have been in that position many times--its really a lose lose situation--if you drive your 11 and miss the apt--you lose
if you power down and get it there but get nailed later on the log book--its also lose

but hey one thing to remember being paid cash--you have no unemployment to fall back on---no social security paid out---no health coverage--not sure what you would do at tax time

    it could be messy

Good luck getting another job after this guy goes under (and he will). If anyone gets wind of him not paying federal withholding, OASDI, etc.... he is screwed and so are you without a W-2 or 1099 to verify previous employment.

The way this guy and his company cuts corners will lead to disaster. You can fool yourself for a while, but it will come out in the wash.....

Dunno, how fast is your truck? The bars will be closed in 11 hrs, though.

I do believe you are a driver.
Don't know what it is with this week, I am just plain contrary. I was arguing with ronin, too, for some reason.

He probably started it, though. :D
