We have a semi and a flatbed trailer. I’ve been thinking the last 2 days we need to get involved in the cleanup somehow. Was curious if any of you have ever been apart of something like this. This is so close to where we live I feel like we need to do our part somehow. I know I could donate cash clothes food etc but was thinking we could do more with our trailer but from looks of some of it we may have a hard time getting our tailer around. Idk. Just thinking out loud.

What ever happened to the Red Cross? Back in the 80s and 90s they use to be everywhere a disaster was. Nowadays you hear and see nothing of them? I would guess no funding, but I’m not really sure.

Yeah, it's harsh, blew pretty hard, HOWEVER, let's remember, this has been going on forever in this region, modern media brings it to our kitchen table. It's one of the most unstable parts of the world, and people continue to rebuild, time after time. I don't know what it is that makes people want to do that, or that insurance companies continue to pay out these exorbitant settlements, you wonder why your premiums are so expensive? We're paying for that, indirectly. Now, lower your guns, I too feel terrible when I see someones belongings strewn across 3 counties. I've even thought of volunteering to run a machine or dump truck to help. I have no CDL, but there must be some exemption for a disaster. I'm not sure I could handle it emotionally, however. I moved to a region where that is unlikely to happen, but many don't have that choice. If that did happen in Colorado, you can bet I'd be right there, Kentucky, IDK,,,I hope someone steps up, and they will. People in crisis still help each other. Sure seems like a lot of bad news lately, eh?
