These new hands will never learn. There have been many posts written telling applicants of the possible pit falls of these mega-carrier schools. Same thing with leasing a truck. These companies do not care about students. There are too many waiting in line to become a driver.
That's trucking.

The warning to stay away is right there in big letters on the back of all their trailers... Lease, train, drive, team. They actually list lease above train lol.
CondoCruiser and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
Thanks I was looking into a few companies, I have 8 mo experience in 2010, with Roehl, which was good. Coming back to this I am finding there is a feeding frenzie on us newbies, or whatever you call me. They want to send me to school in somer of them, others will take me on at .23 cpm.
I am looking at these final four, well final three now, CR England is out...
Schneider They told me 35% of Green Bay's Fleet is 2010 or newer plus the apprentice pay program? Anyone know about that?
Crete Offered me the same CPM as Schneider, but not the apprentice, For some reason I am still leaning towards Crete. I don't know...
Con Way These guys sound like a Corperate Nightmare, there website was pretty. But I put an app in anyway whats there CPM? -

That sounds like a total nightmare. I looked at CRE before choosing Central refrigerated and I am very glad that I did.
At this point I think its good he is planning to get out and looking at other options. Its important to remember that his CDL is issued by the state, not CRE. And for all that is decent don't lease!
Hope things get better for him down the road.

At the time CR seemed like his only option. he had been accepted to a school here in Arkansas but then they kept telling him to wait a year, then check back. He couldn't keep waiting. CR sounded good...turned out they aren't so good, but he did get his CDL so something good did come of it.

The $430 isn't for a day, it's per week but I don't have any faith in CR England. They lied about just about everything. He talked to a recruiter and there was plenty of opportunity for her to disclose everything. He has his CDL, how could they take it from him? He also got a certificate saying he passed everything and was good to get the CDL. They didn't even tell him about the $3000 tuition until AFTER he got there. He has plans to go to a much better company so he won't have to deal with them.

Tell your Husband as soon as he finishes phase 1 to start looking for work elsewhere. I had plenty of students get hired at good companies for local or OTR work.

I've read this story a thousand times and I still chuckle a bit at them. People need to start doing research.
