How's that new job with the other trucking company working fer ya? Any different from what the big bad wolf of C. R. England was treating? I have the impression that YOU and husband DID NOT do your research on the trucking industry as a whole and that YOU are claiming blame toward C. R. England. Did YOU and he do any further research on the industry? Did YOU and he do further research on the amount of time that he WILL spend away from home? Or, did ya just feel it necessary to lambast and create negative comments toward C.R. England? It WILL be integrating and interesting to see whether we EVER hear from you again. If so, it will be interesting to see for how long YOU and your husband happen to remain within the trucking industry and on this forum.

Then you have the ones that believe they are smarter than the thousands before them that were victimized . We've seen several of the "They won't do me that way " posters get done that way and disappear .

I'm still waiting for the "romantic story" from the original author of this Forum regarding her husband's trials at another trucking company that will offer the excellent wages and all the home-time he can have! Seems to me that the original author and her husband didn't have the first clue of what the trucking industry is all about and as most other "one-post wonders"..... blames their misconception on the ONE company that would give him the chance!

Just waiting to hear about that romantic opportunity that she posted all about!

Phase 2 is only 10,000 miles, which it added to 20,000 miles to equal 30,000 miles of training... Im training now during my phase one n before he sign all the papers the first day of school, he should of read it first, it clearly states about $3000 fee or work for 9 months n dont have to pay.. Also my brother did the same thing n his phase 2 pay was 17 cents n now he gets 37 cents per mile n been with for 5 months

This type of story is NOT uncommon. 12¢ a mile wow. I was getting 12½¢ per mile running team back in 1977. We thought that was slave wages. That just proves my point where the company is going to make their money at the drivers expense. The school is not free. Just because there's no payback doesn't mean the company is not getting paid for the school. They just used some creative accounting to make more money. On the top it looks like the company is going way out on a limb to help new drivers get work. When in reality they get paid back for the school faster and more than the old way where you got deducted every payday for school reimbursement. And don't you love the way they take care of their new drivers?

So what's one to think when more than just a couple of these types of posting comes across this site? I would take the word of the drivers that have experienced this and cross out this company to work for. Remember to make a list of schools along with their benefits. These stories should tell you there's problems with pay and the company does not take care of their drivers. Of course it will get better if you're in control of one of their trucks, after all that's money to them and they just might have a tendency to listen. But it wouldn't be for you it's because that truck is money to them. They also know if you can not cut it they have more than just a few to replace you.

What gets me is when they say the reason they are going to CRE is because " No one else will take me " .:biggrin_25521:
Yeah , England will train you so you are obligated to pay for the school . Wait and see what the future holds beyond that .
