    Hey all,
I'm finally seeing movement on the front line of becoming a Trucker. :)

Site was down (404) so I would have posted this on the 7th Feb.

    What a day it was....

    Feb 7th 2013:
Pre-Screening completed. Urine sample taken, Vision, Hearing, Reach, ect. I was surprised that the Doc even checked for Hernias (Yeah, Drop your pants hehe) No big deal thou. Passed it all.

MVR takes 24-48 hrs however and I need to go back Monday to pick it up and hand-carry it to my school, no big deal. I was only given a 1 yr DOT Card due to the fact that I take medication as a "Pre-Diabetic"...No big deal. I was happy. Didn't think I would fail. (I'm 6 ft, 205 lbs...working it down.)

    Feb 8th 2013:
Drive to my School where my VA Rep is. Wanted to see if they re-imbursed the $85 fee associated with my screening, they didn't. Oh well...My Book stipend will make up for it. ;)
Next I walked to the Bookstore and get all the materials needed for class. It was all bundled up together in Plastic.

Hope they are all the correct items, I will list them here for you all to look over.

FMCSR- Green Book by JJ Keller
Drivers Training Log Books- Got two of them.
    Training Book- Delmar's 4th Edition
Motor Carriers Road Atlas- Rand McNally 2013

    Cost: $107

Now I'm awaiting Monday to go pick up my MVR to hand deliver it to my school. Then I wait until March 4th when my school starts. :)
In the meantime I have already read the Introduction in the Student book and I'm loving it already. Can't wait.

    I'll update as I go.

Enjoy your weekend all and to those on the road, stay SAFE!

Remember: It's better to be judged by 12, than be buried by 6

Remember to enjoy the journey, It will only be new this once.

As an old Army Trucker may I not only say Welcome, but also point out that you made a much wiser decision than when you joined the Navy!!!
