Yep your right your Cali 9 will go as Far East as you want although if it's a sixteen wheeler you'll only get tandem weights in most states. I agree with you about reprocity it would be nice altho we would probably end up with some real ######## like pilots at 9 wide and 13 8 tall.

I've never understood with all of the crap the federal government stick their nose in that's none of their business, and interstate commerce is their business. They could fix this crap if they wanted to, right along with California's stupid emissions crap on trucks not domiciled there.
Gearjammin' Penguin, truckdad and Raped ape Thank this. -
I get why the crane type is called a spreader bar but what's the logic behind calling a stinger a spreader bar?
-
I guess because it "spreads" the axles.macavoy Thanks this.
-
This is exactly why it is called a spreader bar. The term isn't referring to the entire booster or stinger but specifically to the piece that goes between the trailer and the axle of the booster.macavoy Thanks this.
-
Ok I get it, like a spread axle vs tandem.
-
That was my guess, I know one if the greatest days of my life was when Ohio changed its axle laws and I didn't have to run around with that stupid stinger in.
