When I can figure out which one is sticking, new CAT.

It's intermittent and a real pain in the ### to try to diagnose.

Every so often it sticks and starts sputtering and spitting out raw fuel exhaust then she clears up in a minute.

Well that sucks, I thought you could make anything fit with a big enough hood scoop.

I had the same symptoms when my cam sensor was going bad. If you replace it make sure they give you the two washer shims that go under the new type sensor. I kept my old one for a spare since it would still run with it.

Is there any way I could test mine?

I've been scratching my head on this for awhile...

I was thinking the same thing. Then I remembered the pulling tractors people build.

If you have the old style sensor you could try resetting it. If I remember right you unscrew it and remove the shim and pull out the head. Then screw it back in all the way then remove it again and put the spacer back on without moving the head then reinstall. Might check the connections at the plug and the wires from the ecm. I think I've had to repair wires there also close to the connection.

Probably didn't explain that very well.

Montana winter. I'm moving out here.
Who needs chains. Lows in the mid 30's highs in the mid 40's no snow on the ground. It was colder in Texas a week ago. Hahaha
