My journey with IDC school and training...

Hi all,

I grew up in NM and can vouch for the fact that the high desert of eastern NM can get very cold this time of year and sometimes pretty snowy. Best to pack accordingly.

This is my first post since I started school at IITR in Portland on 12/3. I've taken my written exams for CDL and all endorsements, passed all the backing tests and the pretrip. So far, my average score for all the tests is 92%. Tomorrow I have my final school drive test and Saturday my WA state driving exam. Also, I went ahead and submitted my FAST application for Canada driving. I have applications in with Interstate and Gordon, but haven't heard back from either yet.

Someone told someone who told someone who put it on the grapevine where I heard it... that... Interstate has frozen their hiring for 30-60 days while an audit of their training program is done.
Any truth to the rumor? or is it just scuttlebutt?

We got a call yesterday that the school is going thru an audit. IDC told us we should be okay cause we're not scheduled to start until the end of the month. They said it was 30 days.

 

we have not heard this....but we are in a truck seperated from the rest of the world.

 

Wasn't sure if it was true or just smoke. It kinda freaked me out when I heard as IDC is one of my top choices to go with. Hope the audit doesn't last too long.

Has Interstate contacted you about your start date?

 

I'm waiting to hear today also. They're supposed to let us know if we're still starting on the 28th or if it's going to be longer. She said that we're probably okay....god I hope so. It's a little hard to take back our resignations.

If they're still having the classes at the end of January...I bet we'll be starting together.
