That is the extact load I dealt with the other day. Planners needs to get there heads of their arses on that.
Drove 307 miles today. Made it home. Jump on on a plane to visit my daughter for the next 5 days. Should be fun.
Stay safe with the New Year, my friends

Will you get paid for this 150 miles?Grijon Thanks this.
-
Yes, I got paid for those miles. The planner put in a location that was nearby. In workflow, I arrived at the location and departed from the location. It will show up just as an extra stop on the trip.
Grijon, Indianabuck and warhippy Thank this. -
Glad you made it home. Have a Happy New Year.
Funny thing about that Woodland location. I have been there twice, and still haven't made it inside. The first time was during orientation and day 1, stop 1 with my trainer. We arrive and notice the truck is leaking oil badly. Guard won't let us in. We drop the loaded at the gate and park on the street. Spent the rest of the day waiting and getting towed to Sacramento, then another day and a half waiting on the repair. That was the reason my training was extended by a week.
I haven't been back since that day, until yesterday. Still can't get inside. That place is jinxed for me. -
I got my truck back yesterday. KW has had it for 2 and a half weeks. They did a PM, fixed the bunk heater, aligned it, and a few other things. Most of the delay was their backlog, and waiting through the holiday for the heater part.
The alignment made a huge improvement. Before, it was toe out, and would wander all over. Very unstable. I had to work to keep it between the lines. Now it tracks straight, and is easy to drive.
I cant emphasize enough the importance of proper alignment. Besides tire wear, it makes a huge impact on driver fatigue. Both of the trucks I have been assigned were toe out, and both were much better to drive after they were aligned.
Left Fontana this morning, headed to SLC. Nice light load.
Happy New Year all! Motor with care.Grijon Thanks this. -
Well back at it. Had a great TAH. Hope everyone had a safe and sane New Year.
New assignment had me taking an MT in Sumner, just down the road for a D/H and taking it 710 miles to my favorite place in Woodland CA. Drove 410 miles today to Central Point OR for the night. Will finish the other 300 tomorrow.skyviper73 Thanks this. -
Drove 438 miles today. That included 151 miles to Reno where I am spending the night. Only 4 miles to destination. Did my D/H in Woodland. New assignment has me taking my MT to McCarran NV (Sparks) for another D/H going 610 miles to Herminston OR.
No problems this time in Woodland. In and out within an 1/2 hour. -
Received our assignment Denver to Sacramento. P/U was the 7th with a Live unload the morning of the 9th. Called to let them know "We will have this load there the morning of the 8th...can we move the appointment time up?" Couldn't do it so we are sitting at a rest stop 50 miles out from delivery. An entire day wasted! Since we just started out from TAH we don't need a reset. Already have our pre-assignment taking us from Modesto to Indianapolis.
Word from my DBL is freight is soft in Northern California. All I know is I lost $170 sitting at a rest stop today.softail Thanks this. -
Drove 438 miles today from Reno to Ontario OR. Had to drive about 200 miles in dense fog from McDermitt NV to Homedale ID with temps between 25-30* with wet roads. So much fun. Will be in Hermiston tomorrow.
-
396 miles today. That includes 100 miles going to Yakima for a live load going 929 miles to Bakersfield for live load also. Stopped in Wasco OR for the night to watch football.
At the DC in Hermiston, there was at least 6 newer trailers not able to be taken, due to drivers spinning wheels on the soft dirt and creating huge divots in front of the trailers. Now no one can get to the trailers. I asked a yard dog about them, and he said they could not pull them out, only a tow truck can. So, these trailers will most likely sit there until spring. There were several different companies trailers like that. All SNI other trailers were 998XXX, 954XXX, and 944XXX's. They are POS's.Grijon Thanks this.
