Yeah, OR I could go work for a carrier that issues nicer equipment, AND one that takes care of payroll, tax issue
. Im not trying to start anything, Im just saying.
Cjr, you had to wait for a load, ok, you still got paid very nicely for the load you just delivered.

 

What is the difference if you pay state taxes or if the company does?

 

if company doesnt take out the taxes, you have to know how much money to set aside and save to pay the taxes at the end of the year.

 

At least you get to keep your money for the year and not the government.

 

and its only state taxes thats not taken out. all the fed stuff is done. i live in WV now and state tax is taken out of my check. just depends on the state you live in and how that state works when your employed in another state

 

That's true, but what do most people do with money that they make? Spend it. If you don't save the amount you will have to pay, then you start falling behind, owing fees, yada yada, then a thousand turns into 10 thousand, blah blah....

 

You all just need to move to Texas and not worry about the state tax.
