Ok...gotcha. as for the hazmat, as company drivers we are required to have it. It has nothing to do.with hauling produce. Fresh express is a major customer and the produce loads he is refering to are those coming out of Cali. No real significance to hazmat or our workload picking up though.
The pay is probably before taxes right now. Miles are pretty sucky for company drivers. He is right about us picking up the scraps. Lease purchase ops get preference at this company.

    desperado75 Thanks this.

Wound up staying at the shop for nearly 4 days to get my 5th wheel and exhaust fixed.

This week has been especially rough, had 3 good 500 mile days and now suddenly the wheels have fallen off. I honest to god have been swapped out five times in the last 48 hours and have only driven approx 600 miles since tuesday afternoon. New dispatcher suddenly on Monday as well. Not sure what is going on or why it seems like every time i get twenty miles down the road after backing to a trailer i get the dreaded emergency beeps over the qualcomm.

Im a positive and upbeat guy, not really one to complain. But this is just....geez. I just want to get a run and get some miles for next weeks pay!

It is that wonderful time of year when freight should be picking back up soon. Hang in there.
