Hope you don't; but, as probability factors go....you more often than not probably will at some point and leave to find greener grounds to graze on. Seems to be a trend here lately for some reason. Hmm

well i spoke too soon...i was going on time-off so they get me a load from kentucky to mcdonough ga......ok no problem....well i went and got the load thursday night and drove home to alabama with intentions on delivering monday morning as planned....i wake up friday morning and went outside to check the temps and there is a puddle of diesel fuel under the trailer....so i get ready and i take the trailer to the Morrow terminal...well they take it and they wont let me have an empty trailer to take home ...so yesterday i am ready to go out again and my dispatcher tells me to roll to KLLMGA ...so i do,i get there and they say wait a few minutes and they will be right with me...so finally at 9 p.m. i go back inside and they say "oh we dont have nothing for you until thursday" "just hangout until then and we will send you to indiana"...########,i am going back to alabama....so i call my dispatcher this morning from home and the loadplanner was like "why didnt you stay in Morrow until thursday....what the hell kinda question is that...now i am sitting at home with no trailer ....and its my fault....########

Sounds like a cluster_flunk to me. Pretty much par for the course from what my experience was. That little fuel leak; whatever / where-ever it was more than likely could have been prevented from simple proactive maintenance. But, some companies (where management and dispatch are continually standing in line at the vending machine), prefer to do buisness in a "re-active" type of way and wait for problems to occur; "We'll deal with them then...and blame the guy who is under that load". I know; been there and done that.

Hope you get er fixed and get back on the road. Doesn't sound like that's your fault to me. Your company should be glad that they have a driver who is actually stepping outside the truck to check the temps instead of sending in BS temp check macros like many reefer drivers do which is a shame.

    Drive safe!!

Speaking of clem trailers; I have recently seen a rash of clem drivers bob tailing which is strange. Don't think I ever bob tailed when I drove for them. That might be why you see more and more of their trailers sitting on rail cars and going down the RR tracks.

Funny thing is that they hung a pic in the lounge in Jackson of a trailer on a rail deck. I laughed. Thanks for showing us that.

I saw that silly picture too. Great to boost morale...(if that's humanly possible).

I've been a company driver with Kllm since 1/12 my story is almost identical to zantrix's. Started out great and has gone down the toilet quickly. I had a solid month of $150-$200 paychecks. CRAP! Called my dispatcher to find out what the deal was and my dispatcher had retired & I was given a rookie dispatcher who had no idea what he was doing. Thanks for the heads up!!! I was ready to throw in the towel and decided to switch to western regional since I live in ca and have a wife and 2 little ones, thought I'd be able to get home more often. WRONG!!. My miles have improved significantly since the switch but I can never manage to get home on time. Even though I'll be ordered to swap a good load to a lease guy because he has home time. BS!! I really hate it here but have to stick it out for 4 more months to get my tuition paid off. If I was single and no kids like zantrix I'd've been gone long ago. My biggest horror story with these guys is when I was left at a dead hooker truck stop in nm for 3days in a broke down truck because they had to wait for another driver to take my trailer because they didn't want to pay the extra $$ to tow a loaded trailer accross state lines. Can't stand talking to any one one the phone there. They all sound like a bunch of arrogant Forrest gump's. Can't wait til January so I can move on to something local and see my wife and boys every day

And it's no hidden thing that the lease guys are treated like people and the company drivers are treated like dog #####. I called once to ask why my load was being swapped and they gave me a stupid excuse that they were worried my load was gonna be late, I had more then enough time. So I followed it up with why is it every time I have to swap loads I get dicked out of money? They said I should expect that until my truck number starts with a 2. (lease trucks start with 2) no respect for people there.

Follow your inner instinct my friend; go with your "true gut feeling". If it's time to jump do it. If you decide to stay, then do that too.

You're in charge after all. Glad you too have had somewhat of a similar experience. It's more believable reading when multiple people chime in with "like" stories. Just a shame....

I made the jump before one year because I had had enough with the b.s. I'm treated SSSSOOOOOO much better at this new job - getting paid by the hour, paid overtime after 40, GUARANTEED FORTY HOURS PER WEEK ON EVERY PAYCHECK (Can you believe that???), and it's local - home every night, off two days per week, well maintained equipment, and the benefits are 2000% better than that joke policy at Phllem.

Next place you go to work - do your homework before you sign on with them. I was lucky enough to have met someone on here that worked for my current company and we exchanged many emails. I'm still very grateful for his help.

Don't linger with the BS in Jackson - even though phLLeM is a decent starter company (but quickly going downhill)- there are better options out there.
