I received the offer letter and I signed it promptly.
After that I didn't hear back from my recruiter for a while. Reached out via email several times and didn't receive any reply. I also called and left messages so I figured she was busy. I replied and let him know that I was waiting for the recruiter to get back with me and if I needed anything further I'd reach out. Then I figured since he reached out to me, my recruiter would possibly be available for a call. So I called her and she informed me that they are having issues verifying some of my work history, which I had already emailed her copies of my W2s. She then said they may not be able to move forward since i haven't had a W2 job for a while even with the information I provided from my current "as needed' job from a local contractor I've been working for since mom got sick to help make ends meet. Even called my boss to see if they had reach out to him or his office to see if any type of contact had been made as of yet. He informed me they had not reached out to him as of yet. But the recruiter didn't seem to thrilled with my situation, as is the normal from the other recruiter I have talked to in the past year. So Im going to talk to Wayman, the Director of Recruiting to see if there is anything he can do. If not, then I'm done.

Here is the thing, when the 'boss' of the department contacts you, you talk to them. It is like if I contact a potential driver who has been working with my manager here, and they tell me they want to talk to the manager, that doesn't sit right with me, I make the decision who works and who doesn't and the director of recuiting is the same as I am so you should have had a conversation with and not worried about the recuirter.

As for your work gaps, be very specific about you work with your family to help out in a medical situation, the gaps are not that detrimental as you think but the one issue we have in this industry right now is we have too many drivers and not enough work. The megas are either replacing those who leave or covering areas (sit and wait situations) so they are advertising to get drivers for those two and only those two reasons.

I did that. I reached out to him again directly via our email thread and went over things that I had talked to my recruiter about but in greater depth.l for clarity on his end. And I haven’t received any response back from either of them. I gave them a couple days because at the time it was Memorial Day Week with the weekend approaching and gave them the benefit of the doubt, but I haven’t heard anything back from either of them. Other than emails and calling, there isn’t much more I can do in my end. I guess it’s just time to let this go for the next couple years.. maybe longer.
