Just a thought, but there’s a lot of fuel companies around like Tyree, and Western Highway Oil that are hiring right now and will train. They all start at $35 and up.

Something to think about when you decide to change companies. I will not have any income coming in for this month so I have to float myself for this month to the tune of over 5k. Make sure you have money saved up for this exact situation.
dwells40 Thanks this. -
There are some local jobs in my area but none that I can comfortably make $1000 a week take home. I have been talking to a lot of the drivers and most of them say they take home $800 - $900 a week. I can't make less then 1000 at this time. Unfortunately none of those companies are in my area but thanks.Rugerfan Thanks this.

If freight is slow already and you give your notice, of course they aren’t going to run you. I’ve always tried to do the right thing, and give a two week notice. It usually works out to where my miles will suck once they know I’m leaving.Old_n_gray, Crazytrucker77, Bean Jr. and 1 other person Thank this.

Well it's been awhile so I guess I will update everyone. I am still leasing at the new company. The money is a little better here but my expenses are more so it honestly evened out. I think it will get better once we get through the winter and I can do more runs east. I have been as far as Denver so far and enjoyed it but I am still running the western 4 mostly. I have been looking at my numbers and might have to change from an S Corp to a Sole proprietor. I'm still in limbo because I don't want to make that change unless I absolutely have to. Any who all is well on this front. Hope everyone is well
