i have 7+ years with usx, solo and team so maybe i can help
yes all the trucks have the side tracker camera, some are better than others and yes if you have the new WIDE screen one you realy can blindside with it.
all the trucks have TRUCK gps in them and NEVER trust it, it will get you their but it ""sometimes"" will have you go the wrong way in ALWAYS SEND MAC 46
the only drivers that are required to drive team are the one's from FL, most of CA, WI, MN
all the 2009 and older trucks are auto, the 2010 are auto or 10 speed's
they just ordered 3500 2011 and i hear the they will have some of both..?
if you want to check usx out at fmcsa use the dot # 303024
if you want to know more just askDesert Dog, tntrucker14, NoCoCraig and 1 other person Thank this. -

Anyone know anything about USX so-called "expanded tour accounts", 7 days on and 3 days home, slip seat?
Am interested in knowing length of runs, expected miles per outing, percentage of drop and hook verses live load/unload and idling policies, since they don't seem to have apu's.
Appreciate any info... -

I just posted this same on another thread...hope to get a response...Also...I normally refuse NYC/Long Island & won't last long unloading if USX does a lot of that...low back disc issues...otherwise in good shape...57 y.o. 5'9"/145 lbs...45 pushups and good blood pressure...jog a few miles.
3/4/11 I spoke to a US Xpress recruiter today and was sent emails with application and info. The health insurance is not real great but at least they have trucks governed # 65 mph and not 60-62 mph. I haven't driven truck since 2003 and have never had to deal with the new Hrs of Svce (14/10 stuff) and have never heard of being hassled about idling until I started reading in this forum...apparently prevalent now due to diesel costs. US Xpress tells me if I have 18 mos verifiable driving/OTR in the last 10 years and pass their driving test, I don't have to go out with a trainer. Sounds like they've loosened up their hiring practices a bit. I live 5 miles fromtheir Okla City terminal and would be a solo driver. I also hear they have some new 10-speeds now. In one thread I heard some are a Super-10 tranny but I didn't know they were still even being used. Any news about US Xpress would be appreciated. -
It is going great. We finished training, went through upgrade and have been out together for two weeks. We got a brand new 2012 Freightliner Cascadia. Still working the bugs out of the new truck so that has slowed us down a bit. We have a great fleet manager and have met a ton of long time drivers who are happy with the company and have given us a lot of great advice. A message from the President of the company last week confirmed that this year we have 2600 new trucks coming in. 1000 Freightliners, 1000 Peterbuilts and 600 Internationals. They are all manual transmissions. I know the Cascadia's are all 10 speeds.
